«We frequently stay in holiday properties and so know what you can get for £140 / night and sadly this was not up to the standards we would expect. The cottage is lovely, in a lovely sertting but it is very damp with mould around the windows and mildew on the curtains. It was not clean, the tiles in the bathroom were mouldy, under the furniture were dead woodlouse and other remnants of insects, cobwebs everywhere and the lavatory off the main bedroom was very poorly cleaned. «Accommodation was clean, comfortable, within close walking distance to a few eateries and shops, and near Peak District favorites such as Chatsworth House and Bakewell. The children especially enjoyed the playground just across from the back garden. Our only disappointment was that the listing said there was a hot tub, but that must have been an error. All in all a great stay!»

«Super cute house in a quaint, hilly area! The host was very responsive and super nice. The hot tub was clean and warm and the house felt very comfortable in general, being well stocked with kitchen and cleaning supplies, games, towels, and bedding. I thought it was adorable and a cozy stay for a few days. I would definitely go back to explore the local area and hiking more. »

«We hadn’t appreciated what a gorgeous location this property was in. The view from the front of the cottage over the reservoir is gorgeous, and a first floor reading nook is so cosy and gives the feeling of being by the sea side! The property is really tastefully decorated, making it feel like a home from home. The check in process was really smooth and easy to understand. The weather during our visit was terrible but we would love to come back again with better weather to take advantage of all ...

«The property was as described and was clean and comfortable and in a good location. Check in was easy. However this is the only property I have EVER stayed in that didnt provide any tea coffee milk etc. Even budget hotels do this. It made the place seem unwelcoming and meant we hsd nothing to drink on arrival after a long journey. The same applies to the minute amount of hand soap provided. Also, a bin bag would have been useful. Parking was ok but was on the street and at a distance...fine ...
