The early pick up is brutal but the amazing sunrise is worth it. Our driver Glenn was very informative and made the trip very enjoyable.

You have to go You need winter clothes for sure and get ready for that delicious hot chocolate after in that delicious restaurant It is such a great experience been waiting there for sunrise take pictures as much as you can and give your iPhone to the tour guide he will record all the process it is amazing

Our tour guide/driver, Bill, was great! He gave us very personalized service and we had a full group! He was extremely knowledgeable about Maui and Haleakala; brought us to a great vantage point to watch the sunrise. He was funny and told jokes during his narratives. It was very convenient that Skyline will pick you up from your hotel. Skyline also brings you to the Kula Lodge to eat breakfast after you've seen the sunrise....good food and a very charming place..lived walking in their garden area. Skyline gives great service...the call you and text you to confirm reservations and when you speak with the, they are freindly and helpful. Suggestion: Bundle up when you go up..it is freezing and the wind makes it even colder! Wear long sleeves, a cap/beanie, long thick pants and gloves..all that will really help keep you warm. Skyline's jackets are nice, but wearing layers will help with your experience. We will definitely sign up with Skyline again, next time we go to Mau!

If you are not able to book a parking spot on your own and require to book through a tour company then I highly recommend this service. Our tour guide operator- Trevor- was fantastic. Ensured your safety with his many years of experience driving up the volcano. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Driving up the volcano so early in the am and dark outside he kept it simple with music playing in background. On return trip he spoke during the rest of the trip providing information about the volcano, Maui and all the islands. Great service!!

This tour is absolutely beautiful!!! You will enjoy the ride up and down. As your tour guide will give you the historical back ground about the development of the volcanos and land… loved it. Thank you to our tour guide (Bill) he was very knowledgeable and helpful during our tour..

We had an awesome time! The Haleakala National Park sunrise tour was well worth the 2am wake up time! It is difficult to get reservations for the Haleakala sunrise on our own. Our driver and our guide, Trevor, allowed us to ask questions. I was impressed with wealth of knowledge on all of the Hawaiian Island history he provided.  Trevor really made ride up enjoyable and smooth as possible. So much so that my sister was able to take quick nap. Trevor was very courteous and personable with our group on the way up and back from Haleakala. He helped to make it a wonderful experience!  And extra plus was jackets Skyline provided but bring your gloves if you want to take pics or videos.

Save your money and drive yourself. Our driver spoke about himself and prior job interviews the entire time, made a comment about “the ‘90 kids in the back” (referencing my boyfriend and I). Not to mention he ran a red light and drove to the point and be young man vomited and several others of us became nauseous from motion sickness. The food was mediocre. He even jokingly said “if you didn’t have a good time then my name is ‘Frank’ and that’s my boss. We blame everything on Frank.” For the price you pay, you should have your own table. They grouped the one single gentleman with another couple to save on table space. The jackets they give you didn’t help with the wind and they minimized how bad the wind could be. Do your own research and drive yourself. We didn’t even get to see the crater in the daylight.
