«I booked this lodge via VRBO as a mini break for my birthday with my 8 year old son. The VRBO website clearly stated that the lodge had a private hot tub, as did my booking confirmation. However, upon arrival I discovered that there was NO hot tub. The actual lodge was lovely but VRBO mis-advertised the property. «Keswick Reach was a lovely place to stay and very secluded... too secluded for us. Our car broke down on day 3 of a 5 day stay. We were left solely dependent on what little food we had, what the shop sold and what the restaurant served. We found the shop lacked items like bacon, sausages, bread, etc but had a lot of sweets and crisps. It is far from other shops so we expected more. «I could live here! The lodge was close to the entrance, but in a cul de sac, so felt really secluded. Used the hot tub daily, the water was checked twice daily, so felt very confident it was clean and safe. The food in the restaurant was excellent and had a superb Sunday lunch. «Initial impressions weren’t good-outside the caravan was scruffy with an old dog lead lying around and uncut grass around the door. However the caravan itself was clean and very comfortable. There was a smell of gas outside as well from the canisters but we contacted the owner who very promptly got someone to sort the problem. The caravan also needs a plug in the kitchen sink and a new light in the shower room. Overall I would say the caravan is comfy but needs some TLC.»

The location is remote but there are so many lovely places around to visit and some great walks and amazing scenery. We only stayed for 3nights but would have happily stayed longer and hope to return. Communication with Julie was easy, who responded quickly to a few enquiries I had. Would definitely recommend!»
