Upon your arrival kick off your shoes for a respite or lace up your hiking boots for an adventure in the park. In Montana, frosty temps and falling snow usher in an action-packed season of wintery fun and adventure. You can ski or snowboard at one of the areas 2 ski resorts. Not a downhill skier? No problem! With snowmobiling, snowshoeing, dog sledding, cross-country skiing, ice fishing and more, there's something for everyone who wants to play in the snow. The snow can arrive as early as October and can linger through May. Montana offers one of the longest winter season in the lower 48 states to skate, schuss, glide and soar.
Glacier Ridge Resort provides snow shoes and poles in various sizes for adults and children. We also have maps, books and trail suggestions available for our guests.
Travelers should bring sturdy winter boots and dress in layers for a variety of winter conditions.
