«High Accessibility The hotel is near the Yodanaka Station, it takes 5-10mins walk. If you will drive over there, the hotel will provide the free parking. Also, they were so nice to clean up the snow every morning. Also, it may take 15-20mins walk to the Shibu Onsen. For skiing, it can take 30mins driving to Shiga Kogen. «クリスマスに家族で利用しました。ホテルは草津の中心である湯畑の目の前なので足元の悪い雪の季節の散策観光には抜群のロケーションでした。すぐ近くにコンビニもあります。お部屋は本館の和室でしたがロビー等は歴史を感じる素敵な洋館風、お掃除も行き届きスタッフの方々のお心配りも温かくリラックスして滞在できました。 別館の温泉浴場までは5分ほど館内移動を要しましたが、途中の渡り廊下ではホテルの歴史を感じられる品々が展示されていて興味深く拝見しました。温泉は3種類の温度設定の湯船があり泉質もよくアメニティも色々揃っていてとても気持ちよく過ごせました。 お食事は夕食、朝食ともビュッフェの宿泊プランでしたが食べきれないほどメニューが豊富でした。クリスマスだったのでケーキなどもクリスマス仕様、夕食中にはスタッフの方がサンタに扮されてサプライズ登場する楽しい演出にほっこりしました。 本館の1階が大きなお土産店で、お部屋にお茶菓子としてご用意いただいていた美味しい温泉饅頭も購入でき、宿泊客限定の箱クッキーのプレゼントまでいただけて満足でした。 また違う季節に草津に伺った際にも宿泊させていただきたいです。»

«The hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. It was so comfortable for our family of 5 - very homey and welcoming. The tea and treat upon check-in was a nice surprise and delicious. The onsen was a relaxing bonus! «We enjoyed our stay at this onsen hotel. The staff were very accommodating and made us feel welcome, and we were able to use the private onsen, which was refreshing after a long day. The only downside was that the room smelled strongly of gas due to the gas heaters, but we adjusted to it. The best part was waking up to a foot of snow! Very beautiful. »

«Loved our stay at Shibu Onsen Kokuya and would highly recommend. They made the trip into the mountains and to see the snow monkeys very easy - with transfers included and bag drop to the station.
