“Rose" is a two-hundred year old stone cottage situated in the heart of the village of Parkmill. It has all of the features you’d expect of a building this age, such as stone fire places, wood burners and even some low doorways downstairs!
Situated next door to “Shepherds Shop” and just twenty minutes walk from the beach. Stroll through the woods, along the valley passing the Norman Castle and you get to the beautiful Three Cliffs Bay.
Inside the cottage there is a lounge with two sofas and wood burner. A separate dining room has a pine table seating six people and again there is a wood burner. The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven, microwave, large fridge freezer, toaster, coffee machine and plenty of storage. There is, however, no washing machine.
Upstairs are four bedrooms the back two being linked. Rose can sleep up to six people but is still cosy for a couple. She has two double beds, one set of bunks and a single. One bathroom with separate shower and a bath.
The garden is at the rear of the cottage and is accessed via some steepish steps. Here you will find a large patio with barbeque and seating. There is also a separate smaller patio ideal for morning coffee.
There is a bench outside the front door perfect for watching the world go by or an early evening drink!
There are two parking spaces in a separate block.
There is a TV with Freeview, Netflix and Amazon Prime. Wi-fi is accessible in all rooms.
All linen and towels are supplied and cleaning takes place after departure.
As well as the walk to Three Cliffs you can also walk, cycle or even run the half mile to Parc Wood. Here you will find mature Oak, Ash and Conifer trees as well as a Neolithic burial chamber. Ideal for cycling. You can also get to the base of Cefn Bryn from here.
Nearby beaches include Oxwich, Langland and Caswell. A bit further around the coast is Rhossili and Worms Head. Llangennith which is famous for its surfing is also a short drive away.
A walk along the Promenade at Mumbles is also one of our favourites where children can also cycle or scoot in safety. A visit to Verdi’s for ice cream is also a must!
Shepherds Shop next door is ideal for the basics as well as lovely ice creams! The Heritage Centre is also only a few minutes walk away where you will find a fantastic small bakery.
