«The whole place was amazing. Felt like arriving to a holiday resort. Plenty of room for everyone. Safety issues with children and pools were very well adressed. Felt safe. Pool area could have used an update to make it even more luxurious. There was a construction site next door but it did not bother us that much. The overall look had aged a bit from the pictures but we enjoyed our stay anyway.»

«We had a fantastic time staying at the Argyll Retreat. The house was pristine and catered to all our needs. Communication with our host was seamless. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in Opunake; The location of the property was idyllic! »

«This charming cottage had just about everything you would want for a perfect stay, EXCEPT there was no microwave! We didn't discover that until we wanted to use it to make breakfast! Bit of a shock ... Also there is no light switch for the toilet by the main bathroom. A few things would improve convenience: there is nowhere to put your toiletbag in the ensuite. A stool or small table between the shower and the basin would help, and it needs somewhere to put one's soap and facecloth on in the ...

«Everything would have been perfect … because it’s such a beautiful house, but it’s like a sauna in the Summer without air-conditioner. Only one ceiling fan in the four bedrooms. Lights were annoying to switch on and off.»

«Note that the street address is a number AND a letter (we weren't told the letter part). Also note, there is a golf course between the property and the beach so it takes about 25 minutes to walk there - a pretty walk. We found a lake nearby with lovely picnicking spots.»

«Hotel in general ok. Some minus-points are due to minor things: 1.day breakfast tables were not cleaned up once guests were done. No cheese or coldcuts for breakfast. Pool was not open.»
