Manatee Cove Apartment Star5Vacations

MANATEE COVE Swim and paddle with the manatees! WATERFRONT attached apartment right on the main Weeki Wachee River -- not a canal! Large balcony, private entrance. This is a very rare 1/2 acre property with 130' of waterfront offering uninterrupted views. The guest suite has about 1200 square feet under cover including the 300 sq. foot balcony. Charming second story suite with a full kitchen and a wonderful river panorama. Laundry in lower area. The water from the Weeki Wachee magnitude one spring is lovely and clean and stays at 72 to 74 year round. While most of the manatees are in the river from December to April guests spotted at least one almost every day in the summer. The water is shallow and sandy immediately in front of the house so it is safe for kids. You can wade in directly from the dock and play on a large sandbar. One bedroom has a queen bed the other a double. Eating areas on the balcony or inside. Nearby are excellent hiking trails if you want to take a break from the water. Kayaks provided (3 singles, 1 junior, kayaks my vary. Rentals available nearby). Towels provided. All bedding is brand new. There is also a fenced yard to enjoy and plenty of parking( which is shared with the adjoining unit) with a gate for security. Fishing charters, kayak rentals and boat rentals nearby. Also lots of restaurants from fish fry chow down to finer dining. The BBQ and fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, dishes and the kitchen has everything you need to cook in your Manatee Cove vacation home.

Other things to note:
LATE CHECK-OUTS & EARLY CHECK-INS: Check-in time is 4PM and checkout time is 11AM. Door codes do not activate until set check-in time. Early access will not be provided without prior approval. Guests who check-in early or checkout past checkout time will charged the additional fee of $50/hr.
DAMAGE DEPOSIT: A damage deposit of $100 is required at time of booking. This is collected by credit card. Your deposit will be refunded in full by credit card, subject to an inspection of the property.
SECURITY CAMERA: There is a security camera facing the driveway that will be on during your stay. Any pets or extra guests seen on property is subject to a charge.

Nice getaway
We had a great time. The property was nice. It did appear upon checking in, that the tub had not been cleaned prior to our arrival, but that was a minor detail. Overall, it was what we expected. Nice to be right on the river!

Perfect Getaway
We absolutely loved this property. The 2nd floor screened in porch made the evenings so enjoyable to be outside without the bugs eating us. The view of the river was incredible, we saw many manatee floating by. The kayaks available to use were such a perk. We had a blast floating and paddling on the river. The weekend was pretty busy on the water but Monday we had it all to ourselves. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. It had all the things we could have needed. Such a bonus to have access to a washer and dryer as well. Owner communication was prompt and pleasant. The lower half of the home was also being rented out and we did not hear any noise between them and us. Plenty of restaurants in town (about a 5 minute drive). We loved the Breakfast Station!

Great house!!
The house and location were amazing. The only areas that could use attention are as follows… 1) shade on the back porch- I understand that this has already been addressed 2). If you are in the downstairs bedroom there is a lot of foot step noise from the apt, above. 3) Sub floor in the bedroom doorway is soft causing the ceramic tile to flex. 4) Paddle toys…kayaks and paddle board could use some updating. Overall, it was a spectacular spot and a great house. We already book a week for next year. Thank you!

Perfect location

Magical Stay
We enjoyed everything about our stay at the Manatee Cove and would highly recommend it to anyone. You have your own private doc and yard, kayaks at your disposal and you cannot beat it's location. The water was beautiful, we enjoyed seeing all the manatees swim by and wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely will be back, it's truly a gem.

Amazing location!
We just got back from a 4 night stay and wow was it amazing!!! The location on the river is 5 stars, the fact you can walk out is prime especially since we have little ones! We went for my 40th and had a blast!!! Hated leaving! Owners and property manager are easily to communicate with and super nice! My fiancés parents were able to rent the downstairs suite which was really nice (I wanted to stay in it!!! Haha) Beds were pretty comfy too, I preferred the queen though as I like my space!!! :) Can’t wait to come back!

Great long weekend getaway
The house is cute, clean, and has everything you could need (and then some). Alison and David also put a lot of thought into the little details. There are games, DVDs, books, and a binder of local details and good things to know. My wife and I are both Florida natives and love doing anything related to water. We specifically made this trip to kayak on the river. The included kayaks and paddle board were awesome and saved us from having to bring our own or rent one. Pro tip, if you're going up river (which I recommend, it's amazing), take the tandem! Two people paddling up current makes it so much easier. Overall, an awesome 4 day weekend. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing hosts
The hosts were very accommodating and super friendly. We wanted to kayak the river but because of shoulder issues it was difficult to paddle against the current, they offered to pick us up down river so we could go with the current. Above and beyond. Had some minor issues with dishwasher and they fixed immediately. Very easy to contact the hosts. Place was very clean and the balcony was a very relaxing place just watching the kayaks paddle by. Saw 5-6 manatees.
