Main River Mermaid Sleeps 8 kayaks for everyone. Gulf access for scalloping

Main River Mermaid is a 1432 sq ft house with 3 bedrooms (upstairs), 1 and 1/2 bath, home directly on the Weeki Wachee River and around the corner from hospital hole. Prime location!
This home has an oversized screened in porch just steps from jumping in, launching kayaks or taking off on your boat. This porch area has a table that sits 6 and also 2 couches with 2 chairs. Do some early morning yoga or just enjoy the beauty of the river as manatees, otters, and all types of fish swim by. If you're lucky you just might see Chip the dolphin as you enjoy your morning coffee. You can't ask for a better place to people watch.
This area tends to be the favorite spot of past guests who spend hours enjoying the river, nature preserve and all it has to offer while they grill out.

Paddle up river to find the preserve untouched and just amazing, If you take an early morning kayak trip you just might see the deer crossing the river.
You can also paddle to Rogers Park and stop at Upper Deck for lunch.  
If you are adventurous, you can explore old Florida which is where the Weeki Wachee River and Mud River join.

Bringing your boat? You'll have access to the boat ramp at Roger's Park not far from the house. We have 2 docks that can accommodate 2 boats which is perfect for scallop season or just a fun filled weekend.

The surrounding area has so much to offer, Njoy Spirits Distitary, Pine Island (beautiful sunsets), Bayport Pier (good fishing), Linder Pendersen Park (great lookout tower) are some of many.
You'll be 56 miles from Bush Gardens, Tampa Airport and downtown Tampa, Florida. Disney World in Orlando is 91 miles away.
Lego Land in Winter Haven, FL is 69 miles away.
If you're looking for closer trips enjoy Crystal River downtown area, Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks, Clearwater Beach, and Dunedin downtown or Honeymoon Island for breath taken beaches.

Things to Consider when searching other locations!
1. Is the home directly on the main Weeki Wachee River? if not, the canals can be murky.
2. Is there a screen room for everyone to enjoy protecting you from yellow fly season and no-see-ums?
3. Are the Owners committed to your perfect visit and great experience?

When choosing a vacation for your friends and family, please consider the above questions.

As with any home on the water there's no lifeguard on duty and you will be swimming, kayaking, and boating at your own risk.

FYI - This home is not a party house. Neither the Owners or the Neighbors will allow excessive visitors or noisy partying.
There are security cameras on the outside of the house for everyone's protection.

Awesome house and location
Everything about this place was great. Karen was so good with communication and details. We stayed over Christmas, and we were very excited to see the house had a Christmas tree. We love this location being so close to hospital hole and we saw plenty of Manatees.

Amazing spot on the river!
We had a wonderful stay. You have direct access to the river. The kitchen was furnished in a way we could cook meals with no problems. Forewood was provided. Can't wait stay again in the future. We enjoyed watching the wildlife from our backyard. We saw manatees, deer and a variety of birds.

Best getaway spot ever!
This house was amazing for my family. We got to enjoy kayaking, manatees, and even a dolphin came and jumped right in front of the deck for us! The house was super clean and comfortable. The host was amazing as well she has excellent communication and wonderful recommendations for the area. I cannot wait to go back and visit it again.

Weeki Wachee WOW! Incredible location on main river
We had a wonderful stay at Karen’s beautiful home on Weeki wachee River. The house was so clean and exactly as described. Had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our 3 night stay. Karen was so helpful with anything that popped up and giving recommendations. The go-boat rental she suggested saved the trip as the river currents were stronger than normal and challenging to kayak! When we come back to Weeki Wachee we would definitely stay here again. Thank you for everything.

We loved the river
We had a fabulous stay, this house was perfect for us not often do you find a location this perfect☀️ The river is fabulous, the back decks with the swing and shade makes for a great area to hang out. Steps to get in the river are a big plus I was always able to get my board on the river easily whether it was high tide or low. The back porch is so close to the decks so everyone seems to be together no matter where you are sitting and of course the house was clean and well stocked. We make this our yearly spot for sure it is magical. Also so fun to sit and watch the people go by, Thank you Karen for sharing your home with us.☀️☀️

Perfect location
I was extremely impressed with attention to the details! House was extremely clean .Beautiful spot right on the river. It was equipped with kayaks, paddle boards, tubes, sunscreen, mosquito spray, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, kitchen was equipped of all needed things for a family gatherings. I would’ve definitely recommended to my family and friends . it was a dog friendly ! We had such a wonderful time with my daughters and our golden retriever!

Amazing Place
The Main River Mermaid is located on a Beautiful river that is spring fed which makes it a great, cool ,and relaxing place to enjoy the water. The house was very roomy and had a great screened in porch. The sleeping quarters were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you needed. But the backyard made this stay unforgettable with the sightings of manatees and other wildlife. A must stay. We will be planning a revisit!

Beautiful, comfortable, relaxing!
We stayed here for a little under a week over spring break, and couldn’t have been happier. The house was spacious for 4 adults and 3 kids, very clean, and well maintained. But our favorite part of the property was the lanai and river access. It was so relaxing and peaceful sitting out back enjoying the wildlife (countless birds, fish, and manatees), and watching people paddle by. We would definitely return!!

Terrific house!
Karen was a wonderful host. The house was exactly as described and the location was perfect. She was super responsive and even sent us updates and ideas of what to do while we were there. Would definitely go again. DO bring bug spray as suggested…being on the river means there are no see ums everywhere.

BEST WEEKI WEEKEND EVER!
the main river mermaid house truly made our trip! the location is perfection, we spent hours outside on the docks watching manatees swim by and enjoying the river, it has a huge spacious lanai that we never wanted to leave, there’s a perfect fire pit for nighttime hangs, lots of space inside with great amenities and the host was wonderful and easy to communicate with! if i could rate this higher than 5 stars i would! we will definitely be going back to the main river mermaid ASAP!

Ahhh- mazing!
We have visited this property previously and the new owner has made many amazing updates to an already great property. The location, right near hospital hole cannot be topped for manatee viewing. Absolutely LOVED our stay and the great house. The back screened porch and decks were where we spent 95% of our time to enjoy the river and the beautiful preserve across from the house. Also, the owner has stocked EVERYTHING you need from TP to kayaks, just bring your swim suit and food!

A little slice of relaxation in paradise
Main River Mermaid was the perfect home for my husband, teenagers, dog and myself to relax. It was beautiful, the perfect amount of space for us, with renovations throughout the property. We enjoyed our mornings on the back porch, our afternoons on the deck or kayaking the river and the evenings next to the fire pit. The kitchen was nicely stock with pots, pans, etc so we cooked some or would go to one of the local restaurants for dinner. We took advantage of the washer/dryer. It was nice to be able to pack light and just do laundry as needed. The hostess, Karen, was very attentive and friendly. The neighbors were also very nice and welcoming. We can’t wait to be back again to make more family memories.
