«We have stayed in the Great Escape multiple times. It is always clean, comfortable, inviting, and well stocked. The neighborhood is quiet and a short walk to the National Forest. Our dogs have a wonderful time playing and exploring in the large, securely fenced back yard. Communication with the host is great, they are very helpful and responsive. I travel to the area to visit and do family research fairly often. The Great Escape is always my first choice for lodging.»

«This property is awesome. Very modern and clean and the location is second to none. Gary, the owner, is a great host and very helpful. The home is right on the Shenandoah River and any outdoor activity is on the property of a simple drive away. «We were looking for a cozy, affordable vacation house near a family member's wedding venue and Shenandoah National Park that also allowed pets. Not only did this house meet those requirements, but it turned out to be the perfect fit for our family.
