«Stayed here from Ohio while visiting family members in the area. Beautiful, very clean, quiet place. Hot tub was absolutely amazing as that is what caught my eye while booking. Nice area. Close to shopping and dining. Couldn’t ask for a better place. Will be booking again if available on our next trip in the spring. Thanks Colin and Jess! «Pros: If you are a writer, artist, avid reader or just need a solitary vacation this is a perfect home. The kitchen is very well outfitted for preparing meals and the gas grill outside is large. There is a screened in porch with a picnic table for eating or painting outside the kitchen. There is a mown path down to the river for easy access. The MB has a very comfortable bed. «This was our second stay at Riverside Retreat and we hope to come back in the future. The cabin is clean, it has a great open floor plan, and the bed is super comfortable. The best feature of the property is the back porch. The view of the river is lovely and we spent hours watching the ducks, kingfishers, and hawks. Our dogs were in heaven, too!»

«We very much enjoyed our stay which was booked for the Mountain State Forest Festival. It’s just a short drive to Elkins, so the house was conveniently located and the hosts provide a fully stocked kitchen, linens, and even a few games to play. Host was very accommodating. If you aren’t accustomed to sleeping on a bamboo pillow, you might consider bringing your own. This was a wonderful place stay - highly recommended! »
