«Extremely unhappy with our stay. House needs repairs. Dangerous getting into house. Uneven walkway needs to be repaired. Creates a tripping hazard, also needed is a railing up to porch, as well as no hand railing going to second floor. Heat was off house temp 51 when we arrived. Took over an hour to figure out how to operate the nest style thermostat. No instructions on that. Once the thermostat saga was figured out the forced hot air system was adequate. Texted agent (9pm) never got back ...

«Rented a house for my son‘s wedding in Andy’s New York. We needed four bedrooms and this house fit the bill. There were several updated bathrooms, so everyone had their own. The rooms were very big, the property was very clean and our total experience was a plus, if we are ever up in this area again, we would definitely look to rent this house. »

«Absolutely wonderful property! Alison warmly welcomed us and guided us throughout. Scandinavian design with Mid Century Vintage furnishings. This room features a private entrance, vintage desk and large window nook. We enjoyed the views of the beautiful grounds while seated on your private lounge chairs outside of our room. «Completely and unexpectedly perfect! We had a spacious room with a little kitchen, 10min from Belleayre. Super clean and toasty warm even when it was 0F outside. Highly recommend!»

«The service was excellent, the room was perfect (the splitter/HVAC units on the ground outside the room were a bit noisy - but not unpleasant at least for me - however for future guests, you may want to consider muffling the sound if possible), immaculate, bed was very comfortable, TV was excellent (theatre-grade), the Exec Chef at the Shandaken is definitely "Michelin-grade", outstanding cuisine, complimentary breakfast menu was fantastic, the entire management/service team was/is "top-notch". ...

«Very clean and comfortable. The owner was friendly and helpful. The house is a little worn and could use some TLC. We could smell weed wafting into our room several times during our short stay. Also, the Hester in the room, which is a wall unit kept clicking on and off through the night, making it tough to sleep »

«Had a wonderful stay Fri-Sun in the Emory room. So convenient for ski days out at Belleayre Mountain, private, and comfortable. Shadowcrest had everything we needed and wanted. «My son and I stayed here for a ski trip and loved it, so we came back again this year for another ski trip with my daughter as well. It didn’t disappoint! Everything from our warm welcome to the suite to the two breakfasts was wonderful. And the location is super convenient to skiing at Belleayre and Plattekill. We'll be back again for a family trip someday!»
