«Perfect location, the old building has beautiful architecture, and the service is impeccable. The only slight complaint I might have in such a superb place is that the dinner in the 1902 restaurant was not up to the standards I had expected. But the restaurant is a wonder to behold, and makes up for it. Otherwise, I was very happy with the food. And: try the Egyptian wine. While no great wines, some of them are surprisingly drinkable. «Probably the best hotel in Abu Simbel. Highly recommend staying here instead of doing the daytrip from Aswan, which most people are doing. We had the temple to ourselves for 3 hours in the afternoon, after all the tourists left. Short walk from hotel. Very nice pool area.»

«Lovely and unique hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was nice, but they could speed things up by having some coffee in pots already made. Each cup is made individually and slowly. The dinner was just so so. The spa was great. People should be aware they do not serve alcohol, even though is a terrific location for a drink. »
