The home is centrally located in the heart of Ventura county and it is very comfortable for anyone to explore and enjoy the best that Southern California Dream has to offer.

You will have a 5-STARS staying experience with us!

→2 bedrooms on each floor (2 upstairs and 2 downstairs)

→In order to protect our guests & our home, we have two OUTDOOR cameras installed (a doorbell, and a flood camera above garage door) and a 3rd camera inside the garage. THERE ARE NO CAMERAS INSIDE THE HOUSE.

→Pets are not allowed

→Guests staying on Monday's will be asked to take the trash cans out to the street for the trash collector to pick up on Tuesday morning. If for any reason guest is not able to complete this task, we will have someone to come over the house to take the cans out. Please notify us in advance.

→Quite hours are between 9pm and 8am

The house is lived-in but clean. It was large enough for my big family, and we enjoyed our stay. Ernesto was great at communicating with us, and was gracious enough to allow us to extend our check-out time. Overall, everything was great! If I had to say anything about it, it was very hot upstairs because the portable air cooler didn't work very well. And more hooks for towels in the bathrooms would have been helpful. But really was the perfect size for our large family, and we would stay there again!

Worth the price

All and all for the price it was great.Could have tended to the hot tub for fresh guess.Plenty of kitchen ware which made meals easyErnesto was pleasant & quick to respond.Garage access also provided space.

Great stay in an amazing home!

Ernesto creates the feeling of being at home with amazing amenities for our families recent trip. The beds were comfortable, in spacious and clean rooms. And a great backyard to run around and jump for children. Amazing communication too from the first day, truly appreciated that! Definitely would stay again!

This house worked out great for our family. We were in town for a wedding and the house had ample room for us to sleep and spread out without being on top of each other. The huge kitchen allowed us to do what we love most... cook and connect. Every utensil and spice you could want was stocked in the kitchen. The backyard had a trampoline which was very entertaining for the little ones. The driveway provided a ton of parking so no need to search for street parking.

Lovely weekend getaway

It wasn't what we had planned, but this turned out to be a nice retreat on a stormy weekend, with plenty of space to play around when it was miserable outside.

I absolutely agree with Hendrik who stayed July 2023. It is not as described. The pictures are old and the house looks like a long term rental, not a vacation home! There are signs EVERYWHERE reminding you of the house rules. It is not “beautiful and cozy” at all! The house is smoke and mirrors. For a FEW examples, the shower has been painted which is peeling. The shower door shown in the pictures is nonexistent. Instead they just hung a curtain and left the track. A window is broken with a sorry note. Obviously, maintenance issues have not been addressed. The track of the sliding door is a hazard especially with bare feet going into the spa. Even the front hedge in front of the house was painted green! The patio furniture in the photo is also nonexistent. It is a picnic table instead. The owner asked for trash to be taken into the garage upon departure. It is absolutely disgusting as I think the trash has not been taken out for weeks. It smelled atrocious. For that, the owner was notified. It receives a 2 star due to the fact the bedding was clean and we could all sleep fairly well. Communication was good too.

Nice home but not in a good shape

Based on the exact wording of the description, the house corresponds to all amenities mentioned therein, so basically everything is in accordance with what we booked. However, the place is somewhat worn down in several places, and whilst some areas are actually nice and good (like the kitchen, in particular), we have been disappointed by our experience in respect of what we had actually expected in beforehand. In both bathrooms, the paint is coming off the tiles and the bathtub, the doormat in front of the door to the patio is sticky and dirty and should be replaced, the garden furniture was not the same as on the photos, the garage is dark and beyond question for parking, the hot tub was sandy and the water was somewhat cloudy which is why we refrained from using it, the furniture is insufficient for more than six people (we were seven so could just handle), and the overall impression is not like you want to walk barefoot, for instance. The cleanliness was not so bad it actually gave us reason to complain - after all, we were only there for a few days - but all in all it was not a great impression either. At the bottom line, the house is nice but would have a lot more potential with more care for details and better housekeeping. The communication with Ernesto was always swift and attentive, all questions and queries were replied within short time.

Don't Miss Out !!

My Family and I got this really nice place for the weekend as out grandma was visiting, we were able to all hang out comfortably and had a good time cooking our own food instead of buying out ! overall the best experience, sure as heck beats staying at a hotel ! Mr.Ernesto is super easy to work with and explained his instructions thoroughly ! 10/10 will book again ! note: conveniently it was 8 mins away from my aunts house ! :D 15-20 min drive to the beach and 8 min drive to the dispensary! great location, great place !

Work Retreat

We rented this property because it was perfect for a work project in Oxnard. Each employee had their own room and privacy. Much nicer than putting them up in a hotel.

Ernesto and his home were amazing. Very nice, clean, and made for a great weekend. All of my friends complimented the home and we didn’t even want to leave come time for check out! Ernesto even covered the cleaning fee for us to arrive 2 hours early. Highly recommend!

Great experience overall, some room for improvement

Overall a great stay. Ernesto was very responsive beforehand and let us know that we could check in early for free because the cleaners finished early. Location is great, close to Oxnard State Beach (big surf) and not far from Ventura beach (small surf, perfect for kids). Hot tub was great with clear instructions. Clear instructions on setting up AC units. Would have appreciated enough dishes/utensils for the 8 people that can sleep there and at least one extra set of linens. Also a honeycomb shade for the kitchen window and curtains instead of hard-to-use blinds for the sliding glass door. A grill would have been a plus, too. Besides that, would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a comfortable spot near the beach.

Excellent Experience - Highly Recommend!!

We found the property to be exactly as described. The owner, Ernesto, went above and beyond for us. We noticed there was no air in the house and this is July so very hot. Before we arrived Ernesto so kindly added a portable AC unit for our comfort. This made the stay so enjoyable as we could cool it off during the day. The house was spacious and clean. The hot tub was an added bonus for us. Can’t say enough nice things about Ernesto!! Five stars and highly recommend!!!!
