«The studio cottage was perfect for my month visiting UC Berkeley. It was exactly as described, everything was functional and fresh. It was also a great find and luxury to have our own laundry. It is in a quiet area, yet about a 5 minutes walk from Trader Joes and restaurants. Easy to get around by walking, city bike, and bus. Good walking distance to the university also. «Very nice little house and was great for our large dog. The dog park was within walking distance. Standard size frig and oven were great along with a kitchen table that comfortably seated four. Host was very responsive!! Would easily stay again!»

«A gorgeous home filled with antiques in the heart of Berkeley near excellent restaurants »

«We were in West Oakland for a few days to get my adult daughter settled into her new apartment and job. This space was just what we needed as a place to rest and relax in between work, and we had everything we needed to cook light meals and make coffee. It was clean and the beds were comfy. The designated parking did not work for my Ford Flex, but street parking was simple enough. A smaller vehicle would work though. It was an easy drive to get everywhere we needed to be.»

«While the place was clean, and we enjoyed our stay there are 2 issues that can pose a problem. 1 the parking can be hard to get. And if you come when it's dark the first day locating the house can be challenging. 2 the bed is on a raise floor about 18inch up. There is a step stool to use but older people should beware as this could be a problem. The bed is very comfortable and sleep well. The washing machine did not work while we were there. Would stay again for short visits.»

«The hotel pobably is 1960ies, and it totally looks that way. It is clean, but it is in dire need of some upgrades and remodelling. The rooms and kitchen are large but worn, cupboard doors come loose etc. The breakfast is a joke, but then again most guests probably make their own meals in their rooms. Note however, there are no kitchen utensils. Good thing is that it is close to airport and restaurants.»
