«We loved our stay at the cabin! The Hucks hospitality made our stay exceptionally enjoyable! They gave excellent restaurant recommendations and we visited the lake bog they also recommend. We also enjoyed walking through the trails on the property. We were disappointed that oddly we seen no wildlife on the property not even a squirrel or rabbit. We loved our stay and appreciate how the Hucks made our stay so very much enjoyable. »

«From the moment you arrive you know what a special place it is. The pictures do not do it justice...it is one of those situations where the place is actually prettier than the pictures. You will not be disappointed. The hosts are excellent,super friendly and very easy to communicate with. The house is cozy, warm and well equipped, and the location is just amazing. «My Family had a small reunion at Portage Lake. The cabin ended up being the perfect meeting spot. We had dinner there every night. The grill and burners outside were perfect for a clambake and grilling. We sat by the fire pit, with the children fishing, riding bikes and making smores. «My wife and I booked this cabin to watch the April 8th, 2024 total solar eclipse. This was one of the best vacation decisions of our life, we thought we may have to hike a bit, but we were so pleased we could see it right from the deck of the cabin. «This property we were really impressed with, very clean and very convenient on everything that it came with. Also heard many places didn’t have AC in places that other family members were staying at. This property had all that and more. Comfortable beds & the layout was perfect. The owners were one message away and quick to respond on any questions. Very polite. DEFINITELY WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE to anyone. And look forward staying at this place again next time we are in town!»

«Used this as base camp for bird hunting in the NMW for a week in October with my dad and his dog. Was a perfect spot to crash at the end of long day in the woods. Comfortable at night, even had the luxury of the TV to watch playoff baseball at night, and the sunrises were amazing every day. Eric was very welcoming of the dog and very quick to answer any questions. Would tell friend s a stay here again.»
