About this space
Situated in woodland and fields is a small c18th farm with a beautiful light open-plan Cottage and spectacular views of National Trust Gibside and the Column to Liberty. Wild swimming, cycling and endless walks lie just beyond its gate.
One of five dwellings, the Cottage has a private entrance and exclusive use of a small south-facing garden. Night skies are spectacular and often punctuated with calling owls and the rustle of hedgehogs & badgers. Bird spotting and fishing is another delight.

Guest access
Through the main gates there is a designated parking space a few steps away from the Main Entrance to the rear of the Cottage. A small garden with stunning views has recently been created for guests equipped with table and chairs for outdoor eating and quiet relaxation.
Rowlands Gill village is an easy picturesque 20 min walk along the Derwent Line and there are regular buses into Newcastle from the A696 at the top of the lane.
Other things to note
We are happy to host ONE pet including small/medium size dog. In exceptional circumstances we will consider an additional pet for a supplementary fee. In addition we offer a dog walking service (charges apply). Pets must be kept on lead in the shared areas of the farm and we ask that pets are kept off the furniture and linens.
On fine days the chickens and ducks will be roaming and we have a friendly cat and cockerpoo. There are 3 bee hives located on the farm.
