Red Sky Lake House - Tranquility at the lake!

You are sure to love this cozy lake front cottage. Whether you are sitting by the fire, watching the kids kayak across the cove or sipping a cocktail on the dock, it’s hard not to feel relaxed at Red Sky Lake House.

We have 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms with comfortable sleeping space for 8 guests. This lake home sits on a beautiful wooded lot with 4 steps to the front door and the main house is all on one level., wrap around decking on both the main level and basement level. It has 4 bedrooms, the primary suite has a king bed with an en suite with jetted tub and separate shower. One guest room guest room has a queen bed, one with a full bed over looking the lake and one with 2 twin beds that can be made in to a king bed. All bedding, towels and beach towels are provided. Even dog towels are provided. (There is a pet fee of $120. If you have more than 2 pets please let us know so we can take that under advisement and if agreed upon, we will collect an additional pet fee.)

This cottage comes complete with a margarita machine, espresso machine, keurig, coffee pot, tons of games for the family, fire pit, bar-b-a grill, awesome porch and a large dock for fishing. We have lots of fun water toys for rent as well. We have 2 large kayaks, large splash pad and a 23 ft. Sylvan Pontoon Boat for rent! There is no shortage of fun here. You can even walk to a great lakeside restaurant with live music, karaoke and ice cream for the kids.

It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, sleep 8 cottage in a quiet cove with lots of beautiful features that you are sure to enjoy. We would love to accommodate you there as well. Perfect getaway!
This is an immaculate property! Everything is clean and you don’t have to bring a ton of extras just to start enjoying your time. Plenty of towels, blankets, kitchen and bathroom supplies. The bathrooms have shampoo and conditioner and body wash to use. The outdoor water toys were super fun. My kids used them all and explored the nearby shorelines for turtles and otters. We fished off the dock and off the boat. Our last night my son caught his first fish off the dock. The hosts were extremely efficient with communicating with us and helped with any issues that arose!! One thing to remember is the grocery is about 20 minutes away, so if you want to bring a cooler to stock up for the first night and the next morning that would be best. Also, not a lot of restaurants so plan to cook at the house! We had a wonderful time!!

Dream getaway
This is an amazing property. Pack your favorite snacks, bathing suit and toiletries. Terra has everything else you will need there and available. House was immaculate, warm and welcoming. Love taking our boat and docking it during the stay. The deck views in the morning are perfect for coffee. We will be returning in the near future. Thanks for such an enchanting getaway at the lake. Perfect in every way
Our stay at Red Sky Lodge was nothing short of amazing. The house was very clean and tastefully decorated. It slept 3 couples + 1 more adult very comfortably. The views were breathtaking and the entire feel of the house was serene. Perfect for summer or fall rentals! Terra was a pleasure to deal with and provided our group with some wonderful local recommendations! Will definitely book again next year

Red Sky House is a perfect Christmas getaway
Red Sky House at Badin Lake was a perfect place for a family Christmas gathering. It's half way between Georgia and Virginia. It's a beautiful lake front property with plenty of room. It has adorable nautical decorations. The owner also had put up a beautiful tree with lights for us to enjoy. It was super cold outside but with the fireplace it was cozy inside. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, plenty of games to enjoy and the beds were comfortable. Terra, the owner was quick to answer any questions and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be planning a return stay.

5 ladies for a Friendsgiving weekend. Home was very clean and equipped with everything you would need for your stay. Hostess was phenomenal and thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. This cute house is right on the lake, beautifully decorated, and CLEAN! Ladies weekend getaway was wonderful sitting on the porch, in front of the fireplace, and by the fire pit. Plenty of room for yoga on the dock, big dinning table for everyone

Awesome!
Beautiful home in a wooded area has everything you would want! The location is perfect and having a beautiful boat available to rent is ideal. The kitchen feels like home - it has everything you would need and more. Great porch facing the lake to catch the breeze. The king bed is comfy and is dressed with nice linens. The host was very responsive and it was a joy meeting her! We will be staying again. Don’t miss this one!

Family Time
The house was wonderful. Plenty of room for everyone. Everyone enjoyed swimming and fishing. My husband is recovering from a heart attack and stroke and it was so good to see him fishing with his grandsons. He really enjoyed himself.

Everything you need
Great house, as pictured and described, spotless and homey. Very well appointed down to q-tips and laundry detergent, even spices/ziplocks/foil/trash bags, as well as a bag of popcorn and a couple of waters. Beds comfy. AC works great. Owners respond quickly and easy to work with, even purchased a griddle after we asked if one available. We rented boat and lake toys which were all in good working order, and made this rental top of our list. Only con, which wasn’t an issue at all for us, was the porch and deck in the process of being refinished. This did not affect any part of our trip. Aesthetic only. This should not be an issue for anyone. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend. Will stay here again!

What a beautiful home!
Our little family have dealt with a lot over the last several months. After our little boy entered the world too early and we added an extended NICU stay to our stress load, I declared that we needed a BREAK even if just for a few days when he got home. I started hunting around for something secluded where we could be left alone, still have a good time, but keep our tiny little guy safe all at the same time. I stumbled upon this property and decided we would give it a shot. We have stayed in many vacation rentals over the years, and I have to say that this was by far the cleanest home we've ever rented across the board. I was shocked when I entered room after room and each was clean and beautifully decorated. The owners thought of every little thing you'd need from kitchenware, a martini and wine area, Keurig, right down to a flat iron and make up wipes. My two year old daughter even discovered a cabinet of toys and games (as she proudly carried a tub of legos across the room one day LOL). We spent our weekend fishing, enjoying the fire pit in the evenings, spending time together as a family, and of course relaxing! Our lab joined our vacation and enjoyed running around the yard, collecting sticks, and playing on the deck. I would definitely recommend this rental for families as it was very child proof (we have a 6yo, 2yo, and a newborn). The deck had gates at each stairway so we were able to confine the kids and dog to the deck and relax on the swing or in the chairs, while they ran around like crazy people and burned off some energy. :) If you're looking for a place to rent that is private and beautiful any time of the year, this is the one. My only suggestion would be to grab groceries on your way to the house, otherwise you'll be leaving again and driving back out to the local store (though it wasn't THAT far). If you want a meal out, I would also recommend the little restaurant right down the road from the house called "Scallywags". We ordered dinner to go from them two nights and everything was excellent. It's definitely within walking distance! Thank you for the excellent little getaway that we all needed so badly. We'll definitely be back!

Newly Found Badin Lake Gem
I think the best review one can give is that you would want to return to a property. We had the best time over Christmas-can’t believe how much more fun it would be during in-season when you could get in the water! House was clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. Great decor and additional touches we have never encountered in a rental. We were 6 adults and we all couldn’t say enough about Red Sky. Comfortable beds, great FP, wonderful wrapping porch/partially covered. Beautiful lakefront view. Communicative and friendly Owner. Can’t wait to return.
