Loving Lake Life - Waterfront Home on Lake James with Dock!

Welcome to Loving Lake Life your lake home away from home, just 15 minutes from Morganton! Our home sits waterfront with a short stone path walk to the water and our private dock! It comfortably sleeps 6 guests and features two kayaks and two paddleboards, fire pit, beautiful porches, game room and more! Perfect for your next getaway, this space has been professionally designed with thoughtful amenities and attention to detail. We can’t wait to welcome you to your next vacation destination!

As you walk into the great room, the kitchen shines with new appliances, a huge marble-topped island with seating for 6, and is fully stocked if you choose to cook! The living room has a built-in electric fireplace below the TV and triple sliding doors that look out to the lake. Those triple sliding doors take you to the back porch with a dining area, comfy porch furniture and TV, plus the beautiful view of the lake! The primary bedroom has its own door to the back deck and a full private bath with a tile shower. The second bedroom has a door to the second full bathroom. Upstairs you will find a large open common area with a desk, a game console (with Galaga, Pac Man and more!), a ping pong table, a tv area and two additional twin beds.

After you enter the gated subdivision where our home is located, you will pass the Fonta Flora Trail and see the signs to the public cove beach only accessible by trail or our community! The Fonta Flora Trail has about 16 miles of mountain biking and hiking trails that weave through the woods and past multiple lake overlooks. It can be accessed by a short walk from the house!

Our dock is located in a quiet cove perfect for boating, swimming or fishing! It has hammock swings, chairs for relaxing, 2 paddle boards, 2 kayaks and lifejackets for you to come and enjoy! Reading a book, fishing or watching for the kingfisher are all great ways to use the dock! You are welcome to bring your own boat and tie it up to the side of the dock for use during your stay! (Note - the two jetskis are not for guest use - sorry!). After you leave our wake free cove you can explore all of Lake James, enjoy water sports like skiing and wakeboarding, or just take a leisurely stroll to enjoy the pristine mountain views from the lake! Lake James is the cleanest lake in North Carolina!

We are located only a few miles from the Linville Gorge wilderness area and the public boat ramp at Linville Access! Lake James has 150 miles of shoreline with around 30% belonging to the Lake James State Park. Osprey, eagles and many other animals can be viewed and call our lake home!

With abounding porches, sleeping for 6 and the water toys included, come relax today! Guests stay on the second and third level of our house!

The bottom level is the owner's quarters. If you are interested in bringing the inlaws or a second family, please reach out for info on renting this additional space. The bottom floor has an additional 2 bedrooms (queen and two twins - sleeps 4), bath, living and dining area with a kitchenette. Don't worry - no one but your group will be on premises!
