Other activities available locally include cycling, golf, fishing and horse riding. Local landmark, The Roaches, is just 10 miles away and is very popular with climbers, whilst watersport fans will enjoy sailing and canoeing on Rudyard Lake, 8 miles. Other places of interest and within easy driving distance include, Consall Nature Park, Hall and gardens, Alton Towers, Churnet Valley Railway and the Potteries at Stoke on Trent all within 10 miles.
