**PLEASE READ IN ITS ENTIRETY TO UNDERSTAND OUR HOME BEFORE BOOKING SO YOU ARE AWARE OF THE CONDITIONS!!!***

The Foundry is our modern semi-industrial inspired 2BR 1 BATH home. You will have complete access to the home.

You can check yourself in with the key located in the lock box. We will provide you with the code a few days before your trip.

There are two total bedrooms - 1 QUEEN bed in each room. The living room is equipped with a 55" smart TV. The home offers one full bathroom and is also equipped with a full kitchen. The bathroom and kitchen both have in-floor heating adjustable by thermostat.

Parking available right on site - Maximum number of cars = 2. If you require more than 2 cars, please message me to inquire about availability.

Our home was built in the 1930s, while still maintaining its shape, my family and I have worked tirelessly to make it a home where we can come to unwind and enjoy the outdoors. While we offer our home as a rental to our guests, we do have a few things we'd like to disclose to you prior to booking:
- The bathroom door does not currently have a lock. The door itself closes but it is currently not capable of locking.
- We have child proofed most outlets in the home with the option given to our guests to have more plugs available if needed. There is a baby/child gate available in the bedroom closet. We also have an infant inflatable bath tub and also a versatile bath tub. Even with these provided amenities the staircase as shown in the picture can be fairly steep and may pose a safety concern for toddlers.
- Our home is equipped with a combi boiler. This is a modern efficient boiler that is VERY quiet, 95% efficient, thus reducing our carbon footprint which we are very happy about. The drawback to this is when showering - in order to maintain a steady flow of hot water, no other appliance that uses water should be used at the same time. This includes the dishwasher, laundry machines, faucets, even using the toilet may disrupt the hot water flow. This is very important as we would hate to have our guests be surprised if the hot water suddenly runs cold.

We are very happy of our small cute getaway home but do know that certain guests have superior expectations. If you can accept these minimal flaws, then we are happy to host you and have you enjoy the comfort of our home. Our home is a continued work in progress and we are excited to continue adding to it to make it fun and relaxing for all of our guests. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask! =)

Guest access
Please be mindful that the home is located in a QUIET and residential neighborhood. We ask our renters to have the utmost respect for our neighbors. The area is lovely and this home makes a perfect basecamp for those who are willing to explore the area's surrounding Saranac Lake which has so much to offer!

Other things to note
We have a surveillance camera installed for the exterior of the house. One for the side door and one for the front door.

Saranac Lake is usually cool even during summer time with an average low of 40 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit, especially at night. Leaving the windows open has given ample breeze even during summer time.

Beautiful house
This is probably one of the nicest houses I have ever rented. Very clean comfortable and welcoming. If you read the description you know about the steep stairs so no surprise there. The only bad part of the experience was leaving and having to return to my own bathroom which isn’t nearly as nice!

Close to everything
This is the second time staying in this house. It’s very clean and stylish. The neighborhood is friendly And close to some great restaurants downtown, We paddle the beautiful wilderness lakes and ponds close by every year and plan on renting this house again this winter.

Saranac Lake get-A-way
We spent a few nights at The Foundry and it was perfect for my wife and me. It was a quiet neighborhood but convenient to everything in the area. The property was clean, neat and the bath/kitchen/laundry were up to date. The stairs were narrow and steep, but it was as described in the listing and not a problem for us. The bed was comfortable, which was great after full days kayaking the various waterways. We would stay here again and hope to soon.

The most well-stocked VRBO we've ever remted
It was nice to find that previous renters left unused pantry items, food, and cleaning supplies, paying it forward. Before that knowledge, we had bought the norm (paper towel, TP, condiments, food, cleaning supplies, etc.), we did the same upon departure, leaving organic frozen ground beef, pantry items, washer detergent, fabric softener, dishwasher capsules, fruit and veggies that we did not use. Hope they were enjoyed by the next guest. Super cute, modern and trendy inside- not an area of this home went untouched during renovation. Beds and bedding were SO comfortable and air conditioning worked SO well and left us SO comfortable. Stairs were a little steep as stated in the welcome folder, we had no incidents, but appreciate the warning. Railing could be tightened as much as you rely on it going up and down, especially with luggage. All in all, great rental, we enjoyed our stay and should we ever need to reside in Saranac Lake again, we would visit again. Ultimately it was not in the exact location that was beneficial to us for business, but that's no fault of the owner. Thank you for a wonderful week.

Good value. Comfortable despite temperatures down to -29F. Hard getting in as code to key box had been changed. Bedroom to right at top of stairs has small rug nailed to the floor. Nail head in corner sticks up and is painful when stepped on.

Great location and property
Location is definitely the best part of this house. Just so close to everything you need or places you want to go . House was clean. Kitchen is large. Dining room table is small. Living room with small couch. But I think overall most people would be outside when staying here. Bedrooms were spacious. Overall no clutter or excess furniture. Bathroom is roomy and cute. Driveway was large so parking is easy. Stairs are steep which is in the listing but the transition at the top of the stairs out of both bedrooms made me nervous all weekend with the kids running around. I would not recommend this listing to anyone who struggles with stairs or balance.

A nice stay
This house was clean and expectations on what was there and what was needed for checkout were very clear and reasonable. The hosts left a list of restaurants and things to do while visiting. The location, while a little on the outskirts of Saranac Lake, was no more than a mile walk to the village for entertainment. Felt very safe. Stairs were a bit steep, so it might not be a good place for small children or those with mobility issues. Other than that, very nice stay. I would recommend this place and would stay there again.

Wonderful location
We had a wonderful time in Saranac Lake. There was plenty of room for my husband and I and 2 teenage boys. The location was fabulous. The boys were able to walk to a local park and into town. We were able to go to the public beach to swim everyday. I was able to bike and run from the property as well. The house is cute. Plenty of pots and pans to cook with. The couch was comfy to spread out on in the evenings. Also loved that they left space for us to put our food and clothes while visiting. Definitely a great place to stay.

Perfect for a small group
Three of us stayed here. It is convenient to many restaurants and shops. About an hour from Wild Center, Adirondack Museum and Ausable Chasm. Kitchen and bathroom were nicely done. The breezeway was convenient for storing a cooler, beach chairs, etc. A dresser in the second bedroom would be a good addition. Overall, a pleasant stay. Loved the porch.

Very Nice Accommodations and just as Advertised.
Place is as nice as it looks online. Kitchen nicely equipped. Beds extremely comfortable. Nicely decorated and very comfortable overall. Very clean. Everything functional. Quiet neighborhood. Owner very responsive to questions. We did get incorrect information on accessing lockbox and code which delayed entry but it was successfully resolved. We plan to stay there again.

This property in beautiful and is in a quiet neighborhood. It’s conveniently located and is in walking distance to the shops in Saranac Lake. We found the house to be well maintained, clean with brand new kitchen and bathroom. Though we were here in the fall we love Saranac Lake in the winter and this property would be an ideal location for all of our winter activities. We’re looking forward to returning here on our next trip. The host was wonderful, accommodating and easy to reach. Thank you Ricardo!

Amazing House/Great Location
House located just outside of town in a quiet neighborhood. Easy to get to great hiking & kayaking. Easy drive to Lake Placid for a variety of restaurants. Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, TV is for streaming only which worked out for us. We loved having the washer/dryer. Warning for families with small children regarding the stairs. You walk out of the bedroom and the stairs are right there. Can be scary but we noticed a baby gate in the closet. The owner was great to work with. We loved this property!! 5 Stars from us. Awesome ADK Getaway
We spent a long weekend at this great house in Saranac Lake. The house was VERY clean and so comfortable. The location of the house was perfect, allowing us to enjoy the restaurants and Saturday farmer's market in Saranac Lake, while being close to some great hikes. The amenities in this house were wonderful, from the nice shower and laundry to the large new kitchen. We would definitely stay at this house again on our next trip to the ADKs.
