Welcome to Heron Hideaway, a charming 1st-floor condo nestled in the desirable Meadows area of Key West. Just six blocks from the lively Duval Street and the Historic Seaport, and only a mile from the sun-kissed sands of Higgs Beach, this inviting retreat offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience. Enjoy your private deck, complete with a dining table, chairs, and a relaxing hot tub, or take advantage of the common area's shared pool, dining table, and propane BBQ grill. Whether you're here for adventure or relaxation, Heron Hideaway is your ideal home base for exploring all that Key West has to offer.

Please be aware of the following essential policies for your stay at Heron Hideaway:

Age and Occupancy Requirements: Booking tenant must be 25 years of age or older and must occupy the property for the entire duration of the booking. Furthermore, this property is exclusively available as a vacation rental and is not available for worker housing.

No Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited within the property to maintain a smoke-free environment for all guests.

No Pets: Pets are strictly prohibited within the property to maintain a pet-free environment for all guests.

Mandatory Mid-Stay Cleaning: A mandatory mid-stay cleaning is required for all bookings 30 nights and longer to uphold the quality and cleanliness of the property.

Home rental was cancelled 30 mins before our stay
Property manager called us 30 mins before check in and said the place had flees. We were left with finding another place to stay at zero notice and spending double what it should have cost me. I would never recommend these people to anyone.

Great place to rent some bikes and use as a home base.
Great location with grocery and restaurants with walking. Easy bike ride to Duval and the waterfront. Had Eaton Bikes delivery and they were waiting at the on sight rack. Very comfy. Dishes / blender were dirty but I always rewash. Only real complaint is that there are bright lights coming in the bedroom. Could use some black out curtains on the window and door. Landscaping was great out back. Well maintained. Great communication.

We loved our stay!
The location was perfect for us. Close to popular venues but not too close. The pool area was a hidden oasis. Clean and peaceful. We rented bikes and biked all over Key West! Two of our favorite adventures was fishing with Salty Goat charters and watched the 4th of July Fireworks with Cruising Tikis Key West. Also, don’t miss the great coffee and food at Keys Coffee Co.

This property it a great spot close to quite a few good restaurants and two gas stations, one which is 24/7. The house was clean. The outdoor area of the house was also amazing, a shared pool but a private hot tub with curtains for more privacy. The grill was also kept in good condition with propane<3

Well appointed oasis in very walkable area
Cozy but comfortable for 2, this home has tremendous backyard amenities, a hot tub and shared pool, both surrounded by vegetation. The location is a mile or less walk to the beach and Duval street, with restaurants and a grocery nearby. A stop on the free loop line is about .5 miles away. We enjoyed visiting Duval street as well as exploring the surrounding area.

Exceeded my expectation
Beautiful, well appointed condo, only approximately 500 sft. but didn’t seem cramped. Well stocked and clean. Close enough to most attractions/historical sites in Key West without out hearing or seeing crowds. Love the outdoor spaces including rear deck and spa tub. Justin from Vacasa touched base with me early in our stay to make sure accommodations were perfect. I will most likely rent the same or similar unit from Vacasa and refer friends and relatives.

Cute getaway spot
This property was as described in the listing. The space was very clean and equipped with necessities. Perfect for 2 people. Comfortable furniture and bed. The back patio was semi-private and relaxing and the front porch provided a good place for morning coffee and view of White St. Proximity to all the action on Duval St. is a good 25 minute walk, which we did not mind, but we did not go back and forth throughout the day. The location is pretty quiet most of the time. Overall we are pleased with our stay and visit to Key West and would definitely consider staying in the same place again.

Mermaid Festival Weekend
Very happy with the unit. Nicely decorated. I imagine I’m old school, but a book making recommendations of restaurants, liquor store locations, etc would be nice. I realize that most everybody just uses the internet, but it can be very biased.

Go elsewhere
From the moment we arrived we had issues. The toilet was over flowing when we walked in the home. We were charged an extra fee for use of a hot tub we could not use because it had not been cleaned. The pull out sofa had bugs on it. I spent more time on the phone with Vacasa than I did on my vacation trying to get help. I was given the runaround every single time I called. I requested a refund for not being able to use the hot tub, every single time I was told I would get the refund. However, we are going on a month later and still no refund despite my phone calls and emails. This home is just not worth the money. Do yourself a favor and find a different home not managed by Vacasa to rent from.

Great proximity to beach and Duvall St. 15 min walk. Fantastic restaurants and coffee shops, 2 min walk. Butterfly museum, Hemingway Home close by. Clean, plenty of towels, soft bed, hot tub and shower awesome, Quiet area, privacy, and once in a while heard soft footsteps above. We look forward to returning and will stay here again.

A lovely place
We really enjoyed our stay. Very nice accommodations! The bed was amazingly comfortable and having the washing machine and dryer was a welcomed convenience. We loved the pool in the backyard too, however I wonder if anything can be done with the noises of the generators in the backyard? It took away from the lovely setting.

Winter Workation to escape the cold
My wife I’m and I spent a lovely week working remotely from Key West. The change in scenery and the wonderful weather helped us to recharge, keep up on our projects and have some fun. Lovely little location that is walking distance from amazing restaurants. The quiet location was a big plus as we did not want to be in the heart of the action. I highly recommend taking a little break and visiting Key West.
