The Space:
Nestled in peaceful Taroona and just a 15 minute drive from Hobart’s CBD, this waterfront retreat offers an ideal blend of relaxation and adventure. Set right on the edge of the Derwent River, the property boasts breathtaking views and a stunning outdoor infinity pool. During the summer, the pool is typically heated to a comfortable 28 degrees, although it may vary with weather conditions. Outside these months, the pool is unheated but still available for a refreshing dip. Please note the pool is surrounded by large gumtrees which typically drop leaves into the pool on windy days. A pool scoop is on site for guests to remove leaves.
The entry level features an open-plan dining and lounge area, a fully-equipped galley kitchen, and a spacious master bedroom with an ensuite – all with stunning views of the river and pool. A second bedroom and bathroom with a bath complete the main floor. Downstairs, you’ll find another lounge and bedroom, both with water views, as well as a separate toilet. The master bedroom includes a king bed, the second bedroom a queen, and the third a double, with an option for a seventh guest on the sofa bed in the lower lounge.
Step outside to a spacious, level grassed area with direct access to the stunning foreshore. Just moments away, explore the Taroona foreshore track, ideal for peaceful riverside walks. Head to the nearby Picnic Basket café for a cozy breakfast, visit the historic Shot Tower for panoramic views, or enjoy hiking trails at Alum Cliffs. Though the property is fully fenced, please note it’s set on a cliff, so young children should be supervised. Other Things to Note:
There is a sliding door from the master bedroom directly onto the pool area which would allow guests to bypass the safety fence. For this reason this door has been locked and will not be accessible during your stay. Children must be supervised at all times.
It should be noted that the property is positioned on a cliff and although it is fully-fenced, the fence is low and young children should be supervised at all times.
The pool is generally heated to 28 degrees during the summer months however this is also influenced by environmental conditions. Please note the pool will not be heated outside of these times but is still available to you should you wish to use it.
The property is situated in a residential neighbourhood and therefore we politely remind guests to keep noise down and for no outdoor noise between the hours of 9pm and 8am.
