Check if they have water and working toilets
"We arrived this hotel in Guadeloupe after 18 hrs travel only to be informed after check in that the hotel did not have access to fresh water, showers or working toilets in any of the rooms. We stayed 3 days in 30 degrees in rooms with no access to shower, water or toilets. This due local strike.
One toilet available in the reception 150 meters from room for all guests to share.
The hotel didnt have water since one week before our arrival but did not notify us and since pre paid we were not allowed to change hotel.
We were not offered any compensation but we were given bottles of water to drink."
