Family-friendly spacious cabin in gated community overlooking the NRG Bridge

After an adventurous day of rafting, hiking, climbing or skiing, we have a spacious, open home where you can relax in the woods!

The New River Gorge Preserve is a private, gated community tucked in the forest, full of trails and overlooks, just minutes from downtown Fayetteville.

Our home was completed in the summer of 2020 and has 3500 square feet with an open floor plan to accommodate large groups or families.

A matching tree house with rock-climbing wall and swing sit in backyard. A fire pit with string lights sits on the side of the house. I do my best to make sure there is always fire wood.

A huge wrap-around porch is the perfect place to relax, eat or use it as a race track on rainy days (like my kids do).

A new electric vehicle (EV) charging station allows you to have a full charge for your drive home.

The kitchen is fully stocked with all kitchen utensils, appliances, a Keurig and a drip coffee maker. Coffee and (10) k-cups supplied.

Each bathroom has shampoo, conditioner and body soap dispensers.

A closet near the dining room includes: a high chair, booster seat, hiking carrier, pack n play, sound machine, blow-up mattress, baby gate and bed bumpers.

Bedroom #2: master with king bed and en suite full bathroom and jacuzzi
Bedroom #2.5: bunk bed in master closet
Bedroom #3: “Jack” has queen bed and connecting full bathroom with Jill
Bedroom #4: “Jill” has two bunk beds (4 single beds)
Office: lounge chair folds out to a small bed for someone 5’ 7” or shorter. Also, perfect spot for a pack n play.

This is our 2nd stay at this home. Julie is great to work with, we had a little trouble with getting our house code to work however Julie handled it in moments. There were also a couple of fire detectors needing to have batteries replaced, again handled with property manager and his team which are very responsive and professional.

Excellent getaway!
The property is very nice and very well maintained. The cleaning between guests was perfect and we appreciated that the home was well-stocked with towels and paper products. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. The owner was fast with communication and gave us all the check-in details well in advance. I highly recommend!

The family really loved the outdoor fire pit. We used it every night to make s’mores. The kiddos really liked the tree house. Just Perfect!
A big shout out to Julie for sharing her beautiful home with our family. It was the perfect home base with comfy beds, ample room to spread out both indoors and outdoors, and lots of extras for our grandkids (ages 10, 8, 6, 4, and 9 months). My nine-month-old grandson and I especially liked the swinging bed on the front porch for our afternoon nap! Julie and her housekeeper were also quick to send me an item I had accidently left behind.

Weekend get away

Love this property!
Very spacious, there were 8 in total that stayed here. We had 1 toddler and he was easy to keep track of due to the open floor plan. The kitchen area was fantastic it had the cook top on the island so that we could all talk and interact while we were fixing meals. The owner of the property must be a photographer as there were many pictures hanging on the walls of scenery in the area that were just breathtaking. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely stay here.

Gorgeous, clean, roomy cabin in nice neighborhood near town
We had a wonderful stay in this new, beautiful, spacious cabin home in a nice neighborhood very convenient to town. Pictures are accurate and beds are comfortable. Open floor plan with large kitchen and 2-story great room gives the house a bright roomy feel while still woodsy. Three bedrooms are upstairs and one bedroom is on the main floor. Fire pit was really nice with a stock of cut wood on site. We didn't have kids with us but it is fully stocked for adults and families also. We would recommend this place to others and come back again ourselves.

Beautiful House Perfect for a Group
Wow! We've rented a lot of homes over the years, and this was truly one of the best. We had plenty of room for three families with small children ranging in age from 3 to 11. The kids loved all the bunk beds, the treehouse, the large TV for watching movies, and the toys that were provided. The house was incredibly clean, the kitchen well-appointed, and the beds comfortable. While the neighborhood feels secluded, it's close to everything and only took about 10 minutes to reach a trailhead to the New River Gorge National Park. Communication with the host and the check-in/out process were easy. 10/10 would definitely rent this house again!

Perfect getaway in the mountains
We met our friends here for our spring break. The property is incredibly kid friendly- the hosts have everything you need for your family. The house was immaculate and the kitchen well appointed. We met the neighbors, too, and they were very friendly (which is nice when you have rambunctious kids). The playhouse was so fun and we loved making s’mores every night. This is the cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed in. And the location was PERFECTION! You feel like you’re in the mountains and yet you’re close to everything you would want to do in New River Gorge!

Wonderful Large Cabin
This was a warm and welcoming house for our family’s Thanksgiving gathering. It was spotlessly clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds were very comfortable. Paper goods, trash bags, cleaning supplies and firewood were all available in generous quantities. The house is spacious, and we loved the family room with the large screen TV for movie nights. A short hike in the neighborhood takes you to a lovely overlook of the New River Gorge and its bridge. Julie is very quick to respond to any questions. We definitely hope to be back!

Love West Virginia
This was our first time renting a house and we were a little nervous. We could not have asked for a better house to make a first impression. Quiet neighborhood of upscale homes set back from each other yet close to all the trails and attractions. House was big, clean and well maintained. Our host was friendly and responsive whenever we had a question. We absolutely recommend staying here.

Clean, convenient, roomy, comfortable, and cozy! We had 8 adults. The house was perfect. Gorgeous location. House has everything you need. Beds are extremely comfortable. It was the perfect house for our family. Loved the outdoor fire pit, and neighborhood. Close to the NEW RIVER NP attractions, restaurants, shopping, and fun.
