«As a large family of three generations this bach was ideal for us, as were able to pitch tents to allow separation for our teenagers, and it was well fenced for our dog. The bach was very well appointed, and with a couple of minor additions would be rated as excellent. Communication was great before and after, and we all had a wonderful time in a beautiful part of the world! »

«We arrived in Mahia and had a week of cold wet southerly weather - so no boating and the sea (NE coast) was too murky for snorkelling.After a few days our adult son ( keen surfer) went off to find swells and my wife and I settled in to sit out the bad weather.Andrew and Aroha’s Bach is snug and warm and with the shade screens down securely we were able to spread out and relax. «We had an upstairs room looking out over the bay. It is a strange arrangement with the bathroom room and small galley kitchen between the living room and bedroom and accessible from both. However it works just fine. The person on reception was very friendly and helpful. The motel is right on the beach and boardwalk and a 10 minute walk into town. Thoroughly recomment if staying in Gisborne.»

«From arrival to departure we were very impressed with our treatment and the accommodation pod we had booked. There are only cafe facilities at the weekend therefore the need to travel for food and drink was unavoidable but it is only a short drive into Gisborne. The beaches close by are a surfers paradise so would certainly suit the adventurous person, though not myself. An all round excellent stay. »
