«We couldn't rate Lawn Cottages highly enough. The location was very quiet, in well kept gardens, easy access to Hastings and Clive, by car. The cottage was very modern inside, and everything we needed was provided for, even down to a first aid kit! The detail was impressive. The kitchen was well kitted out. «3rd time down for 5 days and loved every minute. Fabulous hosts and perfect set up for a weekend or short stay. Spectacular views from the large windows in the bedroom. Relax on the deck and enjoy uninterrupted stunning views. It’s clean, comfortable and safe. Three minute walk to the fabulous white sandy beach that our dog loved as much as we did. «This was our second time staying here and we had a lovely stay. Such a special cottage in a fantastic position. We enjoyed playing at the park across the road, strolling to the cafes and cinema and swimming at the beach. »

«The property is really cute and it was nice to listen to the sound of waves. There is ample space. We did not see the address when we pulled up so was unsure if we were at the right spot. Expedia sent me the incorrect lockbox code, the property owner sent the correct one. It would have been nice to get the correct one upfront as it took a bit to figure out the issue. «This is a true old style Kiwi bach, a bit scruffy and well worn/used. But that is its beauty and authenticity. Staying by the beach in a more remote part of Aotearoa, I do not want a super-swish, Auckland style apartment. The area is stunningly beautiful, especially Whanarua Bay itself. But there seem to be undertones of local conflict over who can fish, how and where. So be careful and sensitive.»

«This was the first time we have stayed in a place like this, usually it is camp grounds or motels, and we had a wonderful time. If you want to spend time on a farm away from any technology and town life then this is the place to come. Our children loved being out with the animals and walking through the paddocks, I got the rest and relaxation I had been searching for for so long, and my husband was able to step away from work. «Really nice property in central Napier. Easily walkable to many attractions. Very large and spacious with a good kitchen that was well appointed. The tennis court was a nice addition (the rackets and balls provided could have been better, but not a big deal). Overall would highly recommend!»

«The apartment at Macrocapa Heights is an ideal location for a holiday break. Stan and Terresa are brilliant hosts, and they were able to give me details of the local history of the Bay together with places to visit in the immediate area. The accommodate is very comfortable and spacious and has all of the essential amenities for a relaxing break. The apartment overlooks Tokomaru Bay and has stunning view from the garden area. I would recommend Macrocapa Heights to anyone wishing to have a holiday ...
