About the property:
With a backdrop of forest and overlooking a pretty courtyard, the cottage is well equipped and provides a comfortable retreat for visitors to the area.
On the ground floor is a spacious open plan living room and kitchen with breakfast bar.
The living room boasts ample seating with one of the 2 sofas being a comfy sofa bed if required. There is also a TV (with Freeview channels). An electric stove heater provides a cosy feel. The property is heated by modern storage heaters.
The kitchen area has an electric oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge and washing machine. Tea towels are provided as are washing up liquid, cleaning cloths, sponges and binbags.
There is a large bathroom on the ground floor with bath, electric shower over, toilet, sink and electric towel rail. Towels are provided.
On the first floor is the master bedroom with king size bed and ample storage space.
A second smaller room is situated next to the master bedroom on the first floor with a single day bed provided if required for sleeping.
Both rooms on the first floor are light and airy and benefit from Velux windows in the ceilings for additional light.
All bed linen is provided.
There is no garden at the property. However the loch side is only a stone's throw away with Graham's Point (a small park area) next to the water with a shingle beach.
The cottage is in an ideal spot for access to many local places of interest within Argyll and Bute and Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
It is well positioned for enjoying walking, cycling, forests, mountains and boat trips and also has a spacious yet cosy feel and offers a welcome retreat after a day exploring.

We understand that guests often prefer a hands-off approach when on holiday. For this reason information will be provided at the time of booking with regards to accessing keys and full details on the property will be provided within a welcome pack folder which you will find in the property. This will include contact numbers for us, if guests need any support. If guests would prefer to be met at the property this can of course be arranged.

From Glasgow take the M8 for Greenock, then the A8 towards Gourock. 2 miles beyond Gourock on the A770 is the Western Ferries. Ferries operate approximately every 20 minutes with a journey time of 20 minutes. Once off the ferry turn right and drive along the A815 for approximately 2 miles until you come to a T Junction. Turn right and continue along this road (Also the A 815) for approximately 3 miles. Just beyond the Cot House petrol station turn right onto the A880 and you will enter Kilmun village. Continue for approximately 2 miles and Dhu Loch is up a short drive on your left. If you drive past Graham’s Point park on your right you have gone too far!

Kilmun is a small village that provides easy access to both the Argyll Forest and the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
Popular for walking, cycling and exploring all that the area has to offer, Kilmun is an ideal location.
The town of Dunoon is only a 15 minute drive away or half an hour on the bus and provides shopping facilities, cinema and access to numerous bars and restaurants.
Close by are historic Kilmun Church, Benmore Botanical Gardens and Pucks Glen.
Getting Around:
Argyll is very popular with cycling enthusiasts but if you’re looking to travel further afield it’s best to bring your car or motorcycle.
A regular bus service operates from right outside the property giving guests easy access to both Dunoon and Toward in one direction and the picturesque village Ardentinny in the other. Bus links via Dunoon will take you further into Argyll.
If a city experience is what you are looking for, Dunoon provides easy access via ferry to Gourock Train Station where you can pick up a train that will take you directly into the centre of Glasgow.
