We stayed at log cabin no. 1. A two minute walk from an exquisite outcrop of aloes (greens, pinks, reds, purples) hanging from a cliff face above a streamlet; and behind, sun-drenched hillsides covered in golden grass.
The cabin itself was extremely comfortable: a warm wood-burning stove, outdoor gas cooker, microwave, etc. Very good design incorporating a deck overlooking the stream and shielded from wind by the hills.
Only issue: the shower had two settings - scalding and icy. This was mosiy made up for by a deep, warm tub.
We only stayed one night en route to Dullstroom - excellent for a slightly longer stay if you crave privacy, quiet and natural beauty. (Very cold in winter: spring is probably awesome. )
