Home Away From Home

Come enjoy our beautiful, newly remodeled. quiet 2100 sq basement with walkout with private entrance and lighted walkway. The home is on open space and you will often see deer, elk, coyotes and many other wild animals. The space includes a spacious master suite and a smaller suite each with private baths. The master has a beautiful walk-in shower, heated floor, working area and TV. The other spacious suite has a private shower and tub with heated floors. We have an additional bedroom if needed. If you need more bed space there are two leather couches and a blowup mattress that can be provided.

We have one more room upstairs with private bath that could be used but at an additional cost.

There is a full kitchen with frig, stove, oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, Keurig machine, toaster and blender. There are two dining areas including a bar close to the kitchen with plenty of room to move around. In the summer you can enjoy coffee on the several patios. There is cookware and plenty of wine glasses. The living area includes two leather couches and a large smart TV with plenty of sitting space. Enjoy breakfast in two eating areas.

This single family home has a large deck, several patios, hottub, a fire pit and BBQ grill. There are walking trails throughout the neighborhood and a community pool in the summer. We also have a large tent in the summer for outdoor dining. We add an above ground pool in the summertime. The outlet mall is close by for great shopping.

This location is perfect for family gatherings and social get togethers.

There are comparable locations in our neighborhood but ours is spacious and super comfy. Please feel free to ask questions. We love to interact with our guests and share our outdoor The yard is full of flowers all summer and fall. Please let us know your needs before booking.

My husband is a certified nutrition coach and personal trainer. I have car rentals available if needed. They are available for pickup and drop off at DIA.

We have a silver lab retriever who loves to play. We can allow another dog up to 25 lbs. They must be potty trained and well mannered. Pet fee is $75.

Our quiet hours are 10 pm to 8 am. Please be respectful of us and our neighbors. We prefer you use the backyard for entertaining but know that we also entertain there as well.

There is parking space for one or two cars in the driveway. Nearby parking is available if needed. Do not park in the cul de sac as it is not allowed by local police. The door code will be given upon arrival.

Horrible experience
This property was so disgusting we left after one day and submitted VRBO Case 131686871 requesting a refund. Extensive photographs provided to VRBO. When we arrived the entry instructions were not clear, we had to call the host who was out of town. Finally, we were able to contact the host and gain entry. The entry path is through a gate at the side of the house, and through a walk out basement French door. The entire path to this door was littered with used tires and other unappealing items. We were instructed to open the door without a key. The door was open, but the key was nowhere to be found. The host then told us to leave the apartment open when we were out and only locking the door when we were in the apartment. When we entered the apartment, we found: - Bathrooms had not been cleaned, dirty towels were still hanging, hair in the bathtubs, and soap scum on the glass shower doors. - The kitchen countertop was made of plywood - The glass stovetop was not clean and had months of cooked on buildup. - Dust everywhere with extensive dust buildup on the cold air vents. - Cluttered items everywhere. - Bedroom drawers were completely full of clutter. There was nowhere to store our clothes. It was late in the day, and we were in town for our daughter’s wedding, so we decided to try to make the most of the experience. We stayed the night, did not use the showers, only slept in the bed. When we tried to exit in the morning the deadbolted French door was stuck. Neither my husband

Do yourself a favor...run away!
First of all, the listing is wildly deceptive. The owners state they are running a lovely "home away from home," but the reality is more like "nightmare at Grandma's house." Clearly the owners want to have it both ways: a storage basement for all their stuff *and* a vacation rental subjecting other people to that. And they'll ask you to leave the door unlocked so they can access said stuff. Neighbors have posted protest signs in their yards about the vacation rental. One neighbor angrily shouted at the house while my family was walking from the driveway to the home. The kitchen is partially finished, with a thin plywood sink surround and a poorly rigged light that's cord dangles above the stove. There are no kitchen drawers, so things are "stored" on the stove. There's a random storage area with no door just off the kitchen, filled with crap like a big plastic water jug with no lid. *If you are traveling with children, it's NOT a safe situation." Noise issues, awkward situations, poor communication (including conflicting information) lack of insect extermination - the list is endless. The worst part: on the final night, there was a strong sewer gas smell coming from inside the home. The owner was texted about it, but failed to respond. She later claimed the odor was not from the house but from a "northern wind." The owners rejected our request for a reasonable partial refund and responded defensively. Please keep this in mind when you read their inevitable rebuttal.

Girls trip
This property has a beautiful outdoor area! We came to do a 14er, and we were able to relax before and after! The hosts were very accommodating, and truly made us feel at home in their home! The only con would be that when we booked, there was originally 3 bedrooms. That 3rd is now storage. Not a deal breaker, and they did offer a room in their personal home! We enjoyed our stay, and were made to feel overly comfortable while we were here!

Our stay
We arrived there was ice on the walkway down slope to get to the door. This was a little dangerous but the host found a bunchnof mats to throw on top of the ice.We were surprised it only had 2 bedrooms. When it was listed as a 3 bedroom. So one of us had to stay on the couch. Kithen refrigerator also needed cleaned out. Stuff with mold in the drawers and just alot of partially used stuff.

Not what I expected
It was a spacious basement living quarters. The host was nice and was in communication, but It was not as I expected. The room that I had planned for the kids was upstairs with a renter that I knew nothing about. The basement was still under remodel. There were little cleanliness things like food in the sink and trash was not taken out. We paid a small cleaning fee but I don’t think it was necessary. Not a horrible experience but I will definitely pay attention next time to descriptions.
