«The house was perfect for our family of 7, with four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. All rooms were a good size with a large kitchen dinner. The bonus for us with two teenage grandchildren was the pool table and table tennis. Would go back anytime.»

«Lovely cottage which worked well for two families and was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. However, the outside is just as important as the inside from a customer experience point of view and the garden and hedges were in desperate need of cutting and pruning and the gravel drive was quite slippy and dirty from moss and weeds. A few minor niggles; despite the cottage sleeping 8 there were only 7 seats at the table in the kitchen and neither reception room could ...

«Kippford is a pretty village on a beautiful river estuary and the location of Thornleigh is stunning - a stones throw from the beach where we swam and paddle boarded. The house is very spacious and well equipped with amazing views to appreciate the sunsets. The house is comfortable rather than luxurious but that suited us perfectly as we could relax and feel at home and we have all agreed that we will make Thornleigh an annual event!»

«We have just returned for a weekend at Holly Blue Lodge. The owners were great at getting in touch beforehand with very detailed instructions to find the place and for us to order our choice of cake! The lodge is clean and really well equipped with everything you might need. Whoever has decorated and furnished it has lovely taste - it is really pretty with a modern, chilled out feel. »

«Exactly as described. Couldn't get wifi code link wouldnt open and telephone number not recognised. We did get it after emailing.next day Maybe leave written instruction in the caravan for heating and wifi . Great selection of games and activity box for children as well as good selection of books Kitchen fully equipped with all things you could need . Good shower too. Everything seems to have been thought of and provided for a good stay.. We enjoyed our stay.»

«Our group of 11 had a great time in Dumfries and environment. The house was perfect for our extended family to gather and enjoy four days/five nights together. There was generous space for all of us to have meals as a group and spend time lounging together in the living room in the evening, but also for people to have some quiet time. «While we really enjoyed staying in the clean well appointed house, there are a couple of improvements that could be made to make it extra special. Please consider the quality of some of the contents e.g. the cutlery is flimsy and will not last long, pillows fell flat. The stair rail is a bit loose. Thank you.»

«A lovely large, clean, comfortable, well equipped property in a quiet location in southern Scotland. Host Nigel was very responsive and pointed us to some great walks close by. The large hot tub was private, relaxing, and well used during our visit. Highly recommended property and would book here again.»
