«My wife and I stayed two nights to visit family. Cottage was as described, very roomy and comfortable. Great location. Host was very kind. Only dislike was smell from oil heat, I've never had oil heat and not sure if that is normal.»

«the Hoopers Island area is amazingly wild and beautiful. we loved the Harriet Tubman visitors center just a short trip away, and the Blackwater Refuge just incredibly beautiful. the winter birds! we learned so much about the history and culture of the lower islands.the house is more cabin style, smaller than we anticipated, but we got used to that. it was full-on winter weather and wind, so we couldn't kayak as we'd hoped, and the coast was mostly rocks so hard to walk along. it's a place for ...

«This place was a wonderful spot for our family to have a long weekend getaway. It's on a bluff right next to the ocean with a glorious view and a stairway access to the beach. The beds are comfortable, the house has lots of great spaces to relax or play games, and the beach is a wonderful space to explore, find seashells and possibly a fossil sharks tooth (we had no luck there, but we did find a whale vertebrae, so that's something!). But in any event, we highly recommend! »

«Debbie & Alan are wonderful hosts making you feel like you are part of the family. The accommodation is clean comfortable & sits in a beautiful location. We sat on the dock over the river watching the sun go down. Debbie’s breakfast are the best we had in the US& as you share the table with other guests breakfast is both entertaining and enlightening. Advice on what to see locally was good. We would recommend Marvels on the Creek without any hesitation. »
