Cedar Island Coastal Cottage

Bedårende, sjarmerende hytte! Hytta sengeplasser 4 og har ett hovedsoverom med dronning tempur-pedic madrass, ett komplett bad, hems oppe med dobbeltseng og to trille seng, og etasje halvt bad. Skjermet i verandaen tilbyr en hengeseng i full størrelse for å se på den fantastiske utsikten over vannet i Pamlico Sound og North Bay og se på solnedgangen. Fullt utstyrt kjøkken har benkeplater i granitt og apparater i rustfritt stål. Hickory-gulv går i hele hjemmet. Nær tilgang til sandstrender og offentlig båtramp er mindre enn 100 meter unna! Flott sted for jakt, fiske, båtliv og svømming! Hytta har utendørs dusj og spiseplass, slik at du kan nyte den fred og ro som øya tilbyr! Kan også gå til Ocracoke fergeterminal for en dagstur til Ocracoke Island!

Dette er par på heltid, men ønsker å tilby hjemmet og denne vakre øya for andre å glede seg mens de reiser.

A LITTLE SLICE OF HEAVEN!!
My fiancé and I stayed at this cottage for 6 days, and we did not want to leave!! It was SO private and relaxing, which we both needed! We slept on the porch bed all night, only hearing the wind chime, and feeling the breeze! We had the beach to ourselves every time we went out! So many memories made. Thank you!!

Calming Cottage
Perfect location of cottage to get away for a relaxing break. Quiet. Peaceful. Isolated. Views of water, beautiful sunsets and sounds of wildlife at nighttime. The screened in porch is perfect for relaxation. The cottage is very pretty!

Cozy beach cottage vacation
We stayed at the cottage this MLK weekend, and it was just perfect! The cottage was just right for our family of 4. It was clean and well appointed with all the comforts of home. Check in/out was a breeze, and we immediately settled in and enjoyed our vacation.

Peaceful Post-Wedding Stay
My husband and I stayed here for a relaxing 3 night get away after our wedding. We knew the location was pretty isolated, which is what we wanted. We spent one day exploring the nature preserve and another in Ocracoke (2 hour ferry ride). It was extremely windy and chilly our first evening and cool the rest of our stay. If the weather had been warmer, we would have really enjoyed the screened in porch and would have probably slept on the swing. It’s a pretty small house with a kitchen for one, so the grill was a nice addition and we used it one night for steaks. The house was clean but not really built for relaxing inside. The sheets on the bed were very soft but had some stains, like they were washed with a pen or mascara. Not a big deal but we changed them out when we arrived because we weren’t sure if they were clean. Water pressure would go in and out in the shower but that could just be the nature of the location and we were still able to enjoy nice warm showers. It looks like quite a bit of the beach closest to the house has recently been destroyed by storms. There are a few water front houses with obvious storm damage. We weren’t able to access most of that beach due to neighbors with gates blocking access. I would recommend going to the beach near the campground. It is far better and we were able to see about a dozen feral cows! Unfortunately, we didn’t check out this beach until we were heading home. Overall we enjoyed our stay but had bad luck with November weather.

Peaceful Little Cottage on the Sound
Clean, well decorated, nicely furnished cottage with water views to both Pamlico Sound and North Bay. Surrounded by sand, marsh, and water. We enjoyed our stay even with a Tropical Storm coming through! Host was communicative and pleasant. We would like to return for another visit. Definitely a keeper.

Tranquility
What a beautiful cottage. We were seeking a break from the fast pace of life and we surely found it. The property was perfectly kept, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The screened in back porch was our favorite place to watch the sunset over the sound each evening. Beautiful stars at night in the huge, beautiful sky. We would not have changed a thing. Just marvelous.

Front Row Seats to Spectacular Sunsets
Every detail is in place for a relaxing vacation in this sweet cottage. The location is private and quiet, the screened in porch is instantly relaxing. I spent 2 nights alone and (3) friends/family joined me for the rest of the week. Four adults is a good limit for the space available. We all agreed that the porch alone, with its hanging bed, comfy chairs, and west-facing scenery was worth the trip. Also-2 thumbs up for the outdoor shower and shaded table and chairs under the porch. A couple of us mostly spent time relaxing in and around the house; a couple of us spent time on the pretty beaches. Bird watchers will love Cedar Island, as will horse lovers. We took advantage of horseback riding along the beach as well as using the owners' kayaks for an early morning paddle in the the sound. Compared to the crowds along the Outer Banks, Cedar Island really is a hidden gem.

Peaceful Retreat
My husband and I, and our 19 year old son, had a wonderful and peaceful stay at the cottage. If you're looking for relaxation and quiet, this is the place 😊 We spent a day at the sound, which was awesome, and took day trips to Ocracoke and Atlantic Beach. We would definitely visit the "Pumpkin Cottage" again in the future.

Second time, won’t be the last
Last year we stayed in the cottage and thought we would have a quiet week of snoozing and reading but we ended up having one of the busiest stays of our lives, there is so much to do between Ocracoke and Beaufort! This year we swore that we would just rest and ended up repeating being wonderfully busy, including adding shelling at Cape Lookout at low tide to our agenda. But every night we returned to the sweet little cottage with the glorious porch and the marvelous views. Wonderful week. Amazing location. Great hostess who responds immediately to questions. Hope to be back soon!

House was exactly as described. Very short walk/drive to the beach. BUG SPRAY or Thermacell is needed if you plan on surviving after dark. The covered porch and swing bed were a great touch.

Cedar Island Cottage
My wife and I stayed at the cottage for about a week. It was clean, well-supplied with the essentials, and nicely decorated. It's also a short walk / car ride to the beach, where we saw all sorts of wildlife, including wild cows grazing on the sand dunes. The host is also very communicative. We enjoyed our stay!
