elegant hotel
All in all, it was a good choice quality and pricewise. The hotel looked elegant and well-kept and left an overall good impression. The room was spacious and clean, with decent modern furnishings, a good bed and air conditioning. The bathroom was spacious and clean as well, with all the modern amenities and a big bathtub with jacuzzi. There was no complimentary tea/coffee in the room. The free wi-fi functioned well.
The staff was all in all friendly and helpful. They spoke English well and appeared professional at all times. The breakfast buffet was fairly poor, in the typical Italian fashion; although probably a notch better than the standard Italian hotel breakfast but still completely unmemorable. The many sweet cakes did not quite compensate for the limited range of substantial food. Buffalo mozzarella and freshly baked croissants (one of the mornings) were nice touches. They served coffee by order, and there was enough food available for late risers.
The location was convenient, very close to the railway station and a 10 minutes’ walk to the centre, but there was some traffic noise with the window open.
