Bellrock View is a traditional fishermans cottage right on the waterfront of Carnoustie. You’ll find this pleasant little dwelling down East Row, where you can open the front door in the morning, breathe in that sea air, and everything in life is instantly good. Great for the soul, that stuff!
Whether you choose to enjoy the views from the charming front patio, the ‘whale watching extravaganza’ spot from the stylish front porch wicker chair (binnoculars provided FYI), or from the cosy living room through the large window, you’ll be pleased with whatever option. We welcome any photographs taken by guests who manage to capture the Bellrock Lighthouse in the distance. There’s also car parking right outside - always handy for luggage transportation when you’re taking advantage of our weekly discount and book for 7 nights!
The cottage is classically decorated with the front lounge consisting of a double sofa, two armchairs and a country dining table that seats four. The William Morris print compliments the colours well, along with tasteful botanical prints. To the back there’s a twin room with hanging space for all your holiday outfits. The other side of the house has the main bedroom, which - of course - has that classic nautical feel (it would have been rude NOT to embrace this). Wicker lamp shades, beautiful sailboat curtains and luxurious bed linen all included. There’s a dressing table and more clothes storage in here too.
When walking down the hallway, you’ll find a double cupboard great for storing your sandy shoes after a stroll along the beach. The bathroom consists of a bath with a shower above, and the kitchen has everything you’ll need to whip up a hearty family meal at the end of a fun-filled day exploring the local area. The authentic wooden cabinets are a craftsman's dream, and the retro tiles compliment these greatly. There are two bar stools for you to sit at whilst grabbing a quick breakfast or an afternoon snack too.
Enjoy a glass of something tasty at the bistro table in the fully enclosed rear garden, although it will only be a matter of time before you start missing those sea views…)
You can also enjoy reading about the history of the property in the information pack provided - the landlords have traced back the previous tenants of the cottage to the 1800s through Angus Archives! They were lucky enough to track down the family of an owner from 1901 who emigrated to Australia and became a very successful golfing professional. You can also enjoy the historical photographs mounted on the walls too.

Guests will be sent their check in instructions 24 hours before check-in. Entry is via lock box situated at the cottage.
