The Coach house is full of charm and character, a perfect base for families and groups to enjoy the area. Accommodation is offered for up to 6 people.
The house is thoughtfully decorated in style to suit its environment.
The main entrance is accessed by steps this leads into a warm and cosy living room, a great space to get together after the days activities. With a smart TV, open fire and a large barn style window, bringing the outside in.
The kitchen is a mix of old and new with an antique dresser integrated in the units retaining a homely ambience whilst offering fully equipped cooking and self catering facilities including a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, oven and induction hob.
A stairwell connects the two separate bedroom floors.
Downstairs are a double and a twin room.
A modern family bathroom with bath, over bath shower, wc, vanity and towel radiator. Towels, bath mat and hair dryer are provided.
A small utility area where the washing machine is located.
There is also an external door on this level to the rear of the building.
On the top floor there is a spacious double bedroom with feature roll top bath in one corner, ready for you to relax and unwind at the end of the day; the room also has a separate wc and vanity, providing that handy second bathroom.
Outside there is parking for 2 cars and a private seating area with a table and 6 chairs.
The house has unlimited wifi, perfect for those who want to take their work with them or for creative types who want to write or paint.
The cottage is located in the Silverdale & Arnside Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and endless miles of footpaths, mountain bike trails and bridleways can be found steeping out of the front door. You'll need your most comfortable walking boots to explore the area.
The village has a fantastic cafe, three pubs, the Silverdale hotel (which is next door) offers great home made food, a Co-op and other amenities.
Silverdale is on the edge of the RSPB Leighton Moss Reserve, where a diverse range of birds and wildfowl flourish in the protected environment.
Other local attractions include the seafront promenade in nearby Arnside, with an excellent fish and chip shop and a choice of boutiques and tea shops. Leighton Hall and Levens Hall are lovely places to spend a few hours as is Sizergh Castle.
Other points of interest not to be missed are Arnside Tower, Silverdale Beach and Jenny Brown’s Point and The Fairy Steps at Beetham.
Lake Windermere, Bowness and the southern end of the Lake District are only about half an hour.
The forest of Bowland is only a few miles away and the Yorkshire Dales National Park is within easy reach. Kendal, Cartmel and Grange-over-Sands are also not far away.
Some of these can be reached by train, Silverdale has a station located opposite the popular golf club.
