We keep coming back because we feel so peaceful there. So many whippoorwills! And Carla is the BEST host."

However I would say the place needs some work and the owner should put some money back into it. The directv barely works and the internet is non existent but we made due without it. "We loved our stay at the Cliffside Cabin. Property was well-maintained, cabin was pretty clean, and awesome that there was river access a short distance from the cabin. "This is our fourth stay here and we love it! The seclusion, peaceful hikes, fun pool table, comfy beds and all around great place❤️❤️ We went into town of Strasburg to Dominion Doggery and had the best burgers ever! "Nice cabin with good layout and excellent location, close to everything in Luray. The mattresses and pillows were comfy, and the chairs in the basement were a nice touch. My one complaint is the kitchen: there weren’t many items to cook or bake with, and the ones there were older, scratched and rusty. The river was also fairly hard to access—we didn’t end up using the kayaks we brought because we didn’t think we could get them down and back. But overall, we would definitely stay here again!"

"The property itself is PERFECT for a couples getaway or a solo vacation. I truly enjoyed the time to relax & reset. My only issue when booking with VRBO you don't realize some of the "normal" things you find in rental properties were not there until you get there. I've booked with rental properties and there has always been seasonings left in the kitchen (at least salt & pepper). The only other issues is the cleaning requirements....sweeping & mopping the floor definitely was a bit much since...

I think it was on a timer At 2:30 am and ran for a long time and we had to shut the windows because of the noise of running water. "This cabin was a wonderful place to stay! It was quiet except for the sound of birds in the woods. The interior of the cabin was clean and well furnished; the bed was especially comfortable. While we didn't make use of the fire pit, the screened porch was our favorite place to sit day or night. Although it might have been too early for them, we felt relaxed on the porch knowing we wouldn't be attacked by mosquitoes or other bugs.
