«My wife and I have been visiting Monterey for years and love the cool weather and peaceful vibe of the area. First, the accommodations were excellent. The unit itself is very new. The neighborhood is incredibly quiet and nestled in the Skyline Forest area of Monterey. The roads and driveways can be steep, but the views are amazing. «We liked everything about this classic, updated motel. Service was friendly and helpful. Parking was easy. We had a standard, amply-sized room with a fireplace as a bonus, at an affordable rate. Feels like a mid-century California coastal motel, in a row of similar places down the road. It was a little bit of a walk, not terrible, to the downtown and Cannery Row locations. We walked throughout of our 3-day stay without trouble. We'd stay at the Arbor Inn again to visit lovely Monterey.»

When we did arrive after 6 hours in the car they would let us use a restroom and it would be 3 hours until check in. The woman kept adding a day to my stay. «Corola the property manager was amazing. The power had gone out in the area right before we got there, she was going to get us lanterns but it came back on so we called and let her know. Unfortunately the power only stayed on for 15 mins and then went back out the rest of the night. We disnt want to bother Corola to come out with the hope the power would come back on. «This 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath bungalow was updated/remodeled and quite comfortable. Great coffee maker! Mattresses seemed relatively new (always a bonus!) Our stay turned out to be during an unusual heat wave, so we wished there had been AC, but perhaps this is usually not a problem in that area. The only not so ideal things were that the exterior patio was quite dirty, the trash barrels were fully covered in cobwebs, wasp nests and spiders.
