«We loved our 2 week stay in this stylish 1960s Mid-Century Modern bungalow with Lough Corrib at the end of the garden. The building is very original, retaining period features with some sympathetic updating in kitchen and bathrooms. The views out over the lough are mesmerising. «Fantastisk beliggenhed med den smukkeste udsigt. Mulighed for mange gode ture - til fods eller i bil - fra stedet. Lejligheden var kold og uden radiator i spise-opholds-stuen (der var radiatorer i de andre rum). Vi savnede en ansat på stedet til at svare på spm. Fx da der ikke var varmt vand eller da vi ikke kunne få badet på 1. sal til at virke. Eller om de havde en mobil radiator til spiseområdet ;)»

«It is a really good house for a group of up to 10 people. It's three minutes from Westport by car and easily walkable too. The house overall was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The beds were really good quality and comfortable too. The only thing I would suggest is it would be great to have a few additional en suites but it worked well as it was for our group. We all agreed that we would happily rebook The Rocks were we to return to Westport again.»

«Beautiful house, very well equipped in a lovely, quiet spot convenient for Claremorris and the airport. Small herd of alpacas in the field beside the house are a delight. John and Sarah were happy to help with anything we needed and were very kind and accommodating when a storm disrupted our travel plans. Would highly recommend.»

«Der Aufenthalt war für uns sehr schön und zufrieden. Bei der Ankunft haben wir den Schlüssel gefunden, aber die Fronttüre liess sich nicht öffnen. Nur mit aller Gewalt konnten wir die Türe öffnen, sie war total verklemmt und einer meiner Freunde ist Schreiner, der konnte die Türe mit schleifen und schaben wieder einpassen. Der Aufwand war einige Stunden, die Herstellung durch einen Fachmann in Auftrag wäre ein grösserer Betrag angefallen. Ich kenne das Haus und war schon in den Jahren 1997 und ...

«We spent two lovely weeks at the Brownstown Lodge. The house is spacious and comfortable. It was a good base for our exploration of western Ireland. Thomas responded immediately to our texts. «This well appointed immaculate home provided all the comforts of home for our group of golfers from the USA. «I was initially rather intimidated by the antique perfection as shown on the website photos and wondered if my rambunctious family would leave it intact but very pleasantly surprised to find the house well worn and quirky . «We stayed on a beautiful estate surrounded by horses grazing on the land and their very own donkey, Jack Derby. If you call to Jack, he will come to the fence. He lets you pet him, and he expects carrots in return. John and Finola are gracious hosts, and it was nice to greet them every day.
