This private and serene 4-bedroom home with 4.5 baths is well-suited to host your family and friends. All four ensuite bedrooms provide privacy along with abundant communal space. Enjoy outdoor living, 5 minute walk to the beach and adventure, and a place that offers a shaded refuge during the hot afternoons. One can hear the surf while floating in the pool.

The gourmet kitchen is designed to make meal preparation efficient. There is an ice-maker with a never ending supply to keep drinks cold. This is a well-equipped kitchen with abundant space to prepare your meal - a Chef's dream!

Each bedroom has a luggage rack, dresser w/ drawers and a place to hang clothes. There is a safe in the primary bedroom. The electrical plugs are the same configuration as the US and Canada.

Perfect house!
Casa Lirica was the perfect house for 2 couples and 2 teenagers. The location was great! The beach and great restaurants were all within walking distance. We all loved seeing the wildlife up close.

Fantastic Spring Break
The house was great for our spring break vacation. It was the perfect space for our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 teens), plus my parents. Each bedroom has an outdoor exit to the pool area and is not connected to the main living room/kitchen, so be mindful if bringing small children. The pool and back patio were incredibly relaxing. Lots of chirping geckos and bird watching there. Kristi was fantastic. She met us at the house and gave us a tour and several recommendations Serenity Sailing was a blast for sailing and snorkeling, Edwin was incredible for offshore sport fishing, and our adventure day with Alvaro was quite the adventure. The house had everything we needed for our stay, and was just a short walk from the surf shop, small market, beach, and a few restaurants. I'd recommend renting a car to get around as everything else is a bit far to walk. Overall, I'd love to return to Casa Lirica for our next trip to Costa Rica.

Wonderful house and great location
The property was amazing. The 4 bedrooms were almost hotel style - all being accessed from outside around the pool. This worked out well for us as it gave both families and the teenagers some privacy. The kitchen was VERY well equipped with everything and more that we could have ever wanted. The AC worked extremely well in all the rooms and the ceiling fans were wonderful. Great location with 5 minute walk to beach and excellent restaurant/cafes within walking distance. Thank you so much for allowing us to use your home. Our host Kristi was amazing too and gave us lots of excellent information about the area.

Absolute paradise!
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we felt like we were in paradise. The layout of the house is fantastic. We spent most of our waking hours outside. The pool, the gardens, and the trees make for a beautiful property. The house is located in a great community. It’s close to the beach which is absolutely stunning especially at sunset. It’s a short walk to four different restaurants, which we enjoyed throughout our stay. We enjoyed our stay so much that before it was over, I rebooked for our next visit.

Beautiful home excellent for family vacation
Our family of two couples and two individual adults enjoyed a 10-day stay at Casa Lirica. The house is clean, modern, and spacious. The four bedrooms with ensuites were perfect for us. We cooked a number of meals in the well-equipped kitchen, and with several sitting areas, we all had lots of room to relax. The pool is very clean and warmed by the sun. We enjoyed walking on the beach and walking to the small restaurants nearby (all quite good food). The property manager Kristi responded promptly and helpfully to all our enquiries, and helped us connect with a private chef and a couple of fun tours. The area is a little isolated; an inexpensive water taxi crosses the estuary to Tamarindo, but the service ends about 4:30 in the afternoon. It’s good to have a car to visit other areas or to go shopping or to other restaurants. Overall, we highly recommend Casa Lirica. It’s a beautiful area and a beautiful house.

The nicest place we never got to!
Let me explain. There were six of us coming. Ourselves and two other couples. One of our couple friends arrived no problem while we and the other couple did not. Flight delays and cancellations had us unable to fly there until a few days before we would have to pack up and return home. So we lost out on the holiday completely. We were just happy to get all our money back from the airline since the villa and van were a write off. LOL! We did get a video FaceTime call in and a tour of the villa one evening and it looked an absolute dream. So perhaps one day we will try again. As for the one couple that did make it. They loved it! There was everything they needed there and the privacy was fabulous. Loved having the pool and the beach was close enough to visit easily. The fact that there were some bars etc within walking distance was also very nice. Kristi was a gem and the driver Alvaro he was wonderful as well. Based on everything they had to say while they enjoyed the vacation we didn’t get I’d definitely try to come back here some time in the future.

Beautiful house - great for family vacation
The house was perfect for our family of five. My husband and I with our three young adult children. Walking distance to the beach and a few cafes/restaurants. The busier beach and town of Tamarindo is a short boat ride away. A little bit further by taxi but not bad. The house itself provided a ping pong table and cornhole boards for fun and a peaceful pool for relaxing. The separate bedrooms were perfect for our grown kids to each have their own space. Kristi was fantastic to work with and provided guidance on who to call and what adventures to explore. Highly recommend.

Outstanding location and excellent concierge assistance.
Property is exactly what we were looking for. A beautiful pool in a friendly area. Outstanding nearby restaurants and food and nearby market for quick supplies. Property Manager/concierge service was excellent with recommendations and introductions to the activities and adventures we were looking for. Location is safe, secure and not overly crowded.

Hidden Gem....
Our family had an amazing time at Casa Lirica. The neighborhood feels so secluded yet there is plenty to do. The beach is just a short walk away as well as a few cafe and bars. If you want to venture to Tamarindo, the boat taxi is right down the street. We enjoyed the pool and the large outdoor living area. We definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful property in great location.
Spent a week at Casa Lirica with myself and 6 kids.Property is in a great location in Playa Grande. The home is about a 7-8 minute walk to the beach. Area is very safe as the neighborhood Palm Beach has security gate along with security patrolling the area. Home has a great kitchen with everything you need. Each of the 4 bedrooms feels like a master having its own en-suite bathroom. Perfect setup for 2-4 couples. Large outdoor living space and pool is great. My kids loved the bags and boards , pool table and even the dumbell free weights. The Playa Grande beach is absolutely stunning. Waves are great for surfing or boogie boarding. But felt very safe for my 9 year old to swim. We hopefully will be back soon. Also. The property manager Krisit was very responsive and met us at the property to give us a run down.

Awesome casa in a wonderful area
My family of 5 stayed here a week after a week in the Arenal area and this home was amazing!! The pool and outdoor area were our favorite parts- some days swimming 3 times in the pool in a day. The beach access is close and lovely!! Would definitely stay again if we are in the area!!

Casa Lirica stay
This property was exactly as advertised. Beautiful outdoor living space. Our group ranged from 1-60. There was something for everyone. All 4 bedrooms were king beds with bathrooms in each. Main living area was awesome so much space and a really large island. So close to beach and restaurants. Kristi suggested a great tour to Le Leone waterfall it was fantastic! Food everywhere was excellent. If travelling with small kids keep in mind service is closer than NA so go early and bring snacks. Highly recommend this property

We loved Casa Lirica!
This was our first time in Costa Rica so didn't know what to expect. And it was the first real family vacation for me, my wife, and sons ages 15-21 since before the pandemic. We chose this property to avoid the noise and crowds of Tamarindo. The listing is a fair representation of the property, which is a well thought out and well kept home. A few little things that make a big difference that may not come across in the listing include quality sheets/linens/pillows/mattresses, a kitchen well stocked with plates/glasses/silverware/cooking utensils, and excellent communication from the owner and property manager. A few things worth considering for those looking at this property: Playa Grande's charm is its relative seclusion, but this can also be a drawback. There are a few small restaurants within walking distance of the property and a small mini market with a few basic items like milk, cereal, bread etc. There is a shop within walking distance where you can rent surfboards and beach chairs, and they offer surfing lessons (our family took a 2 hour surf lesson and really liked the instructors). You can get to and from Tamarindo by a quick boat ride during the day for $2 or 1000 Colones, but the boats stop at dusk, and it's a pretty long and indirect drive considering how close it is. This leaves you limited options for dining at night and grocery shopping if you do not have a car. Transportation is available for hire but is relatively expensive. We were happy to enjoy the beach without crowds but for anyone who wants to be more ambitious with their exploring I would suggest renting a car. I would feel more comfortable renting a car and driving around now that I have been there once and know a little more about what to expect. Renting motorbikes for a few days might also be a good way to explore. Overall Casa Lirica was perfect for what we wanted. I recommend it highly!

Quiet Serenity in Playa Grande
Casa Lirica is an amazing home in Palm Beach Estates. The updated pictures don't do it justice as the home is amazing inside and out. The newly remodeled kitchen at Casa Lirica is a great place to make tropical drink to enjoy in the beautiful pool area. The covered patio is the perfect place to relax in between dips in the pool. All of the bedrooms were well detailed with their own bathrooms, which made the visit so easy and convenient. The home is perfect for families. Our daughter loved the pool and all the pool toys that were available. It is the perfect spot for kids to play while the adults can keep and eye on them. The plentiful seating areas made the spot so useful for dining, reading or just enjoying the abundant animal life and traveled through the yard. Every morning we enjoyed a cup of coffee on the backyard dining table as we watched parrots, doves and monkeys travel through the forest. The location is just a short five minute walk to the beautiful beach of Playa Grande. Most mornings we had the beach to ourselves and during sunset we were joined by the entire community as everyone said good-bye to the day. There are three restaurants within walking distance and make for a great stroll to enjoy dinner. If you want to visit Tamarindo you can take a short boat ride across the river. The boats cross all day and leave from the Grateful Hotel. The communication and check in process was top notch. Kristi was easy to reach and super helpful with information. We had a small issue with a broken key and Kristi took care of it right away. She really made the stay easy and fun. I can say enough great things about Kristy and Casa Lirica. We will be visting again.

Pura Vida at Casa Lirica
This property was perfect for my group (3 couples) to stay while attending a friends wedding in Playa Grande! The house was clean, well stocked and well appointed. We loved that we each had our own space and bathroom but could connect in the common outdoor and living space. The air conditioners kept the rooms nice and cold. Katherine was a great host! Very responsive. We rented golf carts to explore the area, but lots of great restaurants within walking distance. We loved the Grateful inn! I would highly recommend this property! Casa Lirica - A Vacation Oasis
We stayed at Casa Lirica for a family vacation and it was nothing short of perfect. We had 3 couples and 2 kids aged 8 & 5 and stayed just shy of 2 weeks. From the time of booking the property owner, Katherine was fantastic to communicate with and got us in touch right away with the property manager Kristi so we could start preparing for our trip. The property was great for our group with plenty of space to spread out and areas to bring us all together. The layout of the house gave it the feel of our own private resort. We each had our own room with a bathroom and walk-in closet area. The rooms were spacious, clean and the beds comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook our own meals and Kristi helped us arrange to have a chef come in a couple of times to cook meals for us. The living room was a nice area for the kids to unwind but the outdoor space is where we spent the majority of our time. The yard is a little oasis where we could enjoy the sun, swim and play games. There is a lawn area to play crochet and there is also a ping pong table. The trees and foliage provided shade and kept the yard cool. Once you left the yard you could feel the change in temperature. We felt very fortunate to be able to spend so much time outside and not feel overheated. The pool of course was heavily used! Our kids swam as much as they could every day and we all enjoyed a swim to cool off after returning to the house from outings. The large round table was a great spot for meals and where we played board and card games every night. The community was fantastic, very safe and we met a lot of friendly people in the neighbourhood. We didn't rent a car so an area that had places to eat nearby was a key part in choosing this property. There are a handful of restaurants within walking distance and a small store. We enjoyed live music a few times at a couple of the restaurants. The beach is also a 5-minute walk from the house, we went there daily to watch the sunset. From the time we booked to the end of our trip the owner and property manager had great communication and provided a concierge service to help us book excursions and transportation to nearby towns and beaches. We felt very well taken care of! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This was our first time in Costa Rica and certainly won't be our last, it is a new favourite destination. And when we return, we will definitely book Casa Lirica again.

Fantastic Property
We were very impressed with this property. Having stayed in many a VRBO rental, this was by far the best managed, best appointed, and best cared for property of them all. The kitchen was amazing - stocked with high-end cookware and SHARP knives. So many little niceties as well: soaps and shampoos in every bathroom, plenty of linens, and enough coffee to get us through the first few days. The layout of the house is wonderful. Four full suites that don't disappoint, and the large outdoor sitting area made is so we almost never were inside. The photos online don't do justice to how nice this place is, which is usually the opposite! We love Playa Grande, so knew we were headed to one of our happy places. Finding Casa Lirica has now made it an even happier place for us. We will be back regularly!

Beautiful property in a very nice place
Very nice property well distributed and a few minutes walk from Playa Grande – an amazing nice beach although with no trees and therefore no shade. Therefore the pool which gives option with shade and sun has been appreciated relaxing from the beach. Most beautiful sunset at the beach. Kristi who takes care of the property is extremely helpful and servicing. Very much appreciated to meet her – thank you Kristi.

Casa Lirica was wonderful
Our family of four stayed at Casa Lirica and truly enjoyed our time there. Lirica is a beautiful house which backs to a small nature area where we saw numerous beautiful birds and howler monkeys while lounging in the pool. On the trail through the back gate it’s an easy five or so minute walk to either beach access or to Cafe Mar Azul. Lirica was new to the vacation rental market when we reserved it so there weren’t any reviews yet, based on the pics and description we went for it and we’re so glad we did. In closing, Casa Lirica is a wonderful house and I think you will enjoy it as much as we did. Thanks to Kathy for sharing your home with us and to Kristi for making sure all of our needs were met! We will definitely be back.
