«The photos do not give an accurate impression of the property. It was probably quite imposing when it was new but the outside is now very scruffy. The hotel is difficult to find, it does not look like a hotel ad there are no signs. There is a large sign for a betting shop across the front of the building. «We had a lovely 5-day Christmas getaway at Buvi Lodge. The staff was kind, the place was clean, and the rooms were beautiful. Food was reasonably priced and yummy. We really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere so much. The only negative was that because of the solar power, we couldn’t get a hot bath unless the sun was shining (I was really looking forward to hot baths, but did enjoy only one). «Avoid!! Hotel in great location and should have been nice BUT.... I don't normally write reviews but this place was a nightmare from the start. On my arrival at 10.30pm from the airport, reception showed me to a tiny dark room with no view rather than the double dulux with lake view I'd booked.
