John said,
The space was lovely and just what we were looking for - a pleasant, quaint, cozy place to stay near the water, with oodles of charm. Dick and Carol were phenomenal hosts who struck a perfect balance between offering great warmth and hospitality with giving us our space. Carol and Dick were also incredibly knowledgeable of the area and graciously keyed us into happenings nearby. They have my complete recommendation.
As Krissey said,
Aunt Mary's Studio was exactly the space we were looking for. It was the perfect size for two adults and 1 year old. We spent a lot of time outside in the private little garden area. There are two beautiful horses, a goose, ducks and chickens. The organic garden was just the thing to add a nice touch to each meal we prepared. It's was just the tonic we needed after city living.
Carol and Dick, the hosts, were friendly and more then accommodating. The setting was beautiful. There are two private beaches, wild blueberries, and a great pizza place just down the road (Tinder Hearth). There's a plethora of fun things to do within an hour of the studio. We enjoyed farmer's markets, lobster pounds, galleries, potters, ice cream shops, etc.
Overall, the experience was relaxing and wonderful.

We made this studio in our main farm house so small groups can enjoy the farm. It can also be added to the cabin and Captain Robert's house for large groups.
The field across the street is for your campfires and smores and enjoyment of the fantastic western sunsets.
Brooksville hosts the best organic farming and farmer's market on Tuesdays. Local farms bring organic foods, baked items, cheeses, pottery, jewelry and more. Fresh bread is baked 1/2 mile away, twice a week and pizza and chocolate croissants are also available. Local lobstermen make finding fresh Maine Lobsters easy and you can even get them cooked for you.

Our neighborhood has not changed in 180 years from the time the family's ancestors sailed from our wharf around the world. Two salt water farms remain and the land and waterfront are as pristine and magical as they once were. Our neighbors include the wonderful Tinderhearth, 1/4 mile for bread and pizza and open mic, David's Folly Farm for meats and produce and Buck's Harbor for dinner or supplies. Yoga is in Blue Hill with David Walker, kayaks are available to rent and be delivered here. Castine is 2 miles by water and has our favorite Pentagoet restaurant along with great pizza and history. Fresh milk can be found at the Retburgs in Penobscot and lobsters cooked from Northern Bay Market. The local parades and breakfasts are on going and the Steel Bands are playing through out the summer. The methodist Church in Buck's Harbor has music every Tuesday night all summer and the Yacht Club has dancing on Thursday night. Reversing Fall's Sanctuary also offers many local events including Solstice celebrations and art shows. Holbrook Island along with numerous hiking trails abound through the Blue Hill Heritage Trust. Enjoy swimming at Walker's Pond or if you prefer, use our beach and the chill of the water right here.
Don't forget all the activity in Stonington at the Opera House or enjoy a boat ride. The Surry Theater has ongoing shows, Deer Isle's artists and Haystack are busy all summer and visit Brooklin Boat Yard. There is classical music at Kneisal Hall and in Blue Hill. The Grand in Ellsworth is busy all summer also. And Acadia is just over an hour away. There are many nature walks and ocean studies happening also. One can also just sit on our beach and enjoy the many types of boats that are part of this seaside farm.
