This is a 300 year old property and as such had wonky floors it's in a traditional pub that's owned by a Black Country brewery, Holdens although other beers are stocked. Our room was quirky but clean and comfortable with a well appointed shower room including minimum toiletries. The breakfast is traditional but not extensive but perfectly adequate, there's no other meals available here but the pub is in the centre of this lovely Shropshire town that's full of restaurants to choose from. Please visit some of local attractions like the Bridgnorth funicular railway linking High and Low town and the Severn Valley Railway which unfortunately due to a land slip isn't currently running the whole of the 16 miles of heritage track to Kidderminster this is probably going to take some time to rectify but nevertheless the Bridgnorth station with it's fantastic pub on the platform, the Railwayman's Arms is still worth a visit and the cafe is still open and you can even take part in the steam train platform experience at a small cost, you could take fish and chips down from the town and eat them on the platform and enjoy a drink from the pub with them. Bridgnorth is a lovely town with a fantastic Saturday market, there's lots of quirky steps down from High town to Low town and then you can enjoy walking over the bridge on the way back up visit the Black Boy pub that's on a steep cobbled street back up to High town and all the other pubs including the Golden lion
