Less than 10 miles along the coast road is Skegness, a popular traditional family seaside resort offering plenty of amenities for all the family to enjoy. These include a fun fair, amusements, a cinema, an aquarium, the pier, golf courses, the seal sanctuary and shops, café, restaurants and bars to enjoy, as well as miles of sandy beaches to explore. Also nearby is coarse fishing, although a license is required.
Visit the nature reserves at Gibraltar Point and Frampton both a 30-minute drive, where you will be able to enjoy unspoilt walks and watch and connect with the wildlife. There is Lincolnshire Wildlife Park within a mile, this is perfect for another day out for children. Within 2 miles along the main road towards Skegness is a popular pub and restaurant open Thursday through to Sunday. Towards Boston at Old Leake, 4 miles away, is a supermarket for your day to day essentials.
Wainfleet is a small town 4½ miles away which is home to Batemans Brewery where you can enjoy a brewery tour. It also has a railway station where you can enjoy a short train ride into Skegness or even if you wish head towards London for a day out with being able to leave the cars behind. There is a small supermarket and a good range of shops, pubs and takeaways to enjoy as well as fishing in the river.
Inland, the Lincolnshire Wolds offer many miles of countryside walks through the rolling hills with many popular tea rooms and village pubs for refreshment on your travels. Boston, 12 miles, is a large town built along the River Witham offering a weekly market and visiting the famous Boston ‘Stump’ also known as St Botolph’s Church close to the market place is popular with visitors. Beach 9½ miles.
