«This stay was exactly as advertised. We were a party of two and had plenty of space. The kitchen was sufficiently equipped that we could make food from the grocery store up the road and was perfectly placed with several restaurants within walking distance. Property management was more than accomidating when our arrival time was completely de-railed due to accidents and road work. »

«Just a terrific place to stay - even nicer than the pictures look. Pool is beautiful and huge. Rooms are very spacious and beautifully furnished. Ceiling fans kept things comfortably cool at night. Michelle is a great host who lives next door - she brought coffee over each morning, a nice touch. You feel like you’re deep in the jungle, but you have the convenience of restaurants, groceries, etc at the bottom of the hill less than 10 minutes away. «My husband and I thoroughly researched properties in Uvita while planning our trip and are so grateful we found Casa Bambu. This jewel exceeded our expectations! The road up is no joke. We love to offroad so the 3 bumpy, curvy miles wasn't a concern for us but make sure you rent a 4x4 with low range and make the drive part of your adventure it's 15 to 20 minutes through the jungle each way. The only 3 issues with the house to be aware of. 1. The kitchen/living area is not air conditioned and can be very hot, especially the first day when all the windows are closed up. 2. «Doug and Janet were great hosts. They were quick to respond with questions. They also met us at a local restaurant and led us up to the house. They also have Juli to be a concierge for your stay. She is amazing by scheduling excursions during your stay and was there when we could t find the location for an excursion by directing us and then calling the company to let them know we would be there.
