We had a beautiful 2 nights in Avoca, a very cute little town, and a cute cottage.
I have seen other reviews and I echo the sentiment, this house is better in person, the photo's so not do it true justice.
This property, provided by a wonderful, friendly, helpful and accommodating host, Deb, is quaint, clean and ample.
A beautiful wood fire, with plenty of wood at the ready was prepared for use, which we unfortunately we didn't get an opportunity to use, as we spent the nights out.
While it was cold outside, we didn't need to stress as there is electric ducted heating to use in leui, we had the split systems and electric blankets, so plenty of warmth.
oh and I cannot emphasise enough SUPER COSY beds.
Our German Shepherd had heaps of room to run around both inside and out.
The floors were both carpet and laminate "wood" flooring which she had no issues with.
Highly recommend this place for your get away. Even the little town, albeit tiny didn't disappoint.
Dinner and pool at the infamous Avoca pub was enjoyed, and the Award winning bakery that does an array of pies/pasties/sausage rolls etc, from vegetarian, beef, chicken, crocodile, emu, camel etc was super busy with very satisfied customers, oh and great coffee..
All this just minutes away from the property, that was surrounded by the great Australian bush, with trails to walk our puppy love.
Honestly, even if you're visiting Ballarat and don't want to freeze, it's worth the 50 minute drive to go out to Avoca, the extra 2°C (ish) was very noticeable, going back into Ballarat during the day you could definitely notice it....
Don't overlook this well appointed property and a thank you to Deb for having us 😊
