«Clean and comfortable room. A lot of TV-channels. Fully equipped kitchen. Might look a bit dated on the pictures both inside and in common areas (pool), but doesn't feel so bad when you're there. Also neighbour resort is a sister resort. Their facilities and restaurant (which is nicer) are available and you can even charge your room. Road to San Pedro is under improvement. As of today about 2/3 of the way is fixed. Making a trip to town on a bike no problem. All in all a good stay.»

«Resort lived up to its 4 star rating overall. Staff service was 5 star. It does sit near the Northern end of the developed area: pavement ends not far past the property gates. We expected better beaches, but that is not the scene in that part of Belize. The action leans towards snorkeling or dive and fishing. The wind was unusually strong and prevented any of those. «We have been staying at Grand Colony for years. The reason we keep returning is the convenience of walking down the beach to the dive shop, having a full size kitchen and individual bedrooms for everyone. There are no amenities to speak of. No restaurant, no bar, no spa, the beach chairs have seen better days but so has the beach. The sea grass is nothing Grand Colony can help but it does make the ocean unswimable.
