«Enjoyed staying at Dan and Cecelia's for Dickinson parents' weekend! So convenient to many campuses nearby. The house is lovingly restored with many fascinating architectural and design details! »

«This property is fantastic and in a great location. The house is well kept and the surrounding property is beautiful. The inside of the home is very spacious with plenty of room for everyone. There are 2.5 bathrooms and they are adequate for a larger crowd. Communication with the owner was super simple and he is very nice. My family loved our stay and would love to visit again in the future!»

«This home is located in a peaceful country setting with great views. The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook with and very spacious. The kids loved the tv/movie room. I highly recommend this home!»

«We gifted my father in law a trip to Gettysburg for his 80th birthday. And being a Huge civil war buff this house was the perfect place to stay. Right on the battlefields. A pond for fishing (which everyone loved) and a farm style house that was homey and quiet. It was a close enough drive to everywhere we needed to go but far enough away. The host was extremely responsive when I had questions prior to the visit. Everything was great and the house was perfect! If we ever come back, this is ...

«Stayed in this home for a quick family trip with my son, husband, parents and pup. The house was clean and comfortable, we had a great time! The beds were way more comfortable than we expected! My son really loved meeting Dixie and Dolly (the goats) and being able to feed them. He’s already asking when we can go back!»

«House was clean and comfortable. Host provided some special welcome treats, and also accommodated a last-minute request to stay an extra night. Property was plenty big enough for 4 adults and a dog. Loved sitting on the back porch. Property is located off a very busy and noisy road, so the only suggestion I have is to put shades, blinds, and/or heavier curtains in the front bedroom to block out all the car lights and reduce the noise. Other than that, our stay was great!»

«We really enjoyed our stay here. We went to Hershey Park, hiked some Appalachian trails, visiting family close by and even got to see a plane land and take off. Our dog even felt comfortable and at home here.»

«The Haines Shoe House is am incredible experience for all ages. Our family group age range was 5-70. We all enjoyed our stay. Lots of things to do in the area. House was meticulously maintained and furnished. Campfire under the stars and hot tub great addition to our stay. »
