Better than you’re imagining
This is the second time I’ve stayed here, and the hosts are wonderful. Very communicative via app but not intrusive. The property is gorgeous and comfortable, and close to tons of fun stuff like Athens, Lake Snowden, hiking, etc. Cute cats and cows and chickens as well. We are already booked for a third stay.

Perfect location to Ohio Univesity
Our Daughter is attending OU and we have stayed in a couple Vrbo locations and will definitely be adding this one to our list. Just 15 minutes from campus and an easy drive. The guest house is quaint, comfy and wonderful. The bonus is that our dogs can join us. They have a fenced in paddock/meadow area for the dogs to run. We will be back!!

Unexpected but wonderful
I didn’t read the description clearly enough and was surprised that we were staying on someone else’s property, where their primary home seems to be located. After we settled in, we were able to relax and weren’t bothered by the shared space, especially since we didn’t see anyone all weekend. The house was super cute and with the exception of a few stink bugs in the shower, very clean! Unfortunately, we are used to stink bugs so that didn’t bother us at all. The beds and sheets were very comfortable and the view was relaxing! I think my favorite part was the greenhouse! Thanks so much for everything! Kelly

Very nice Athens area base camp
We had a wonderful stay here. It was a great base camp for exploring the hiking and biking in the area as well as the city of Athens. Property was nice, clean, and quiet. The farm cats were a hoot, especially Tux, very friendly. Hope to stay here again some day when we are back in town.

Excellent Getaway Spot for Two!
Loved our stay in this little gem of a guest house! Owners were on site but were careful to provide privacy if desired. Kitchen was perfect for making meals and baking. And the cat cuddles were an extra and welcome addition (should charge extra for feline therapy). The dog run was a welcome amenity. Property was exactly as pictured and did not disappoint. Owners truly care about comfort and safety of patrons and were very responsive.

Weekend visit with college daughter
Beautiful home on a wonderful piece of property. Both Greg and Marrianne were wonderful hosts. I thought it would be weird being so close but it wasn't. Check-in and out process was very easy and communication was a 5+. We have already talked about going back. Took our 2 dogs and they enjoyed it too. The fenced in meadow was a nice place for them to run. We are in a vegan home so seeing all the plant based items in the home was an added plus! Thanks G&M for a lovely weekend!

Amazing retreat!
My husband and I planned a quick getaway for our anniversary and this property completely exceeded our expectations! It was exactly what was pictured online and the little touches made our stay perfect. During the day we explored the area and surrounding towns and in the evening we returned to a beautiful, serene retreat where we could watch the sunset while enjoying a meal we made in the stunning kitchen. This is a place you don’t want to miss!

Peaceful getaway!
Our family had such a relaxing stay. The property was extremely clean and we loved all the green space for my boys to run. Communication was prompt and courteous to all our needs. We’re already planning another stay in the fall!

Retreat close to OU
Very nice and clean house. Great communication with the owner and the kitchen was wonderful. Stocked with all dishes and linens. Only complaint was that the house was hot!! Fans ran all the time and AC unit upstairs kept us cooler at night but it was loud all night. We were in and out all day so I didn’t see a need to reach out to the owner.

Wonderful experience
This was my first time staying at a VRBO and I was completely impressed with every part of the experience. The property is beautiful and it was so nice to come back in the evening and relax. Everything was better than described. The communication with the owners regarding the stay was timely and we had all of the information we needed for a smooth process while checking in the first time and at the end of our stay. I would highly recommend as an option to anyone visiting the Athens area.

Great spot for OU activities!
My son and I stayed while he attended the Ohio University orientation - perfectly appointed and the kitchen is really impressive if you’d like to cook (restaurant quality stove/oven). Super easy check in and the owners were communicative and even though I know their house was right next door, completely unobtrusive. If you love cats, this is the he spot - the farm kitties welcomed us right off and were a cool little country feature. I’ve already booked again for move-in in August!

Wonderful Weekend Getaway
My husband and I were looking for a nice place away from our busy lives to go and unwind. The rental was just what we needed. The space was beautiful and very clean. The owners kept us informed throughout our stay of any information we needed to be aware of through vrbo messaging. Even though the owners property was near the rental, we had complete privacy and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

Great location, close to Ohio University
Such a beautiful property, much more spacious than I ever expected, and very clean. I was in town for Ohio University mom's weekend. It is only about 8 miles from campus, 15 minute drive. The kitchen was fully stocked with top of the line everything. I also liked that they had coffee and filters available. Additionally, they had saran wrap, aluminum foil, paper towels, toilet paper, basic spices available, etc. The shower is amazing, the beds are comfy, and they even have a queen sized air mattress if needed. The views were very pretty and had the weather not been so wet i would've loved to have my morning coffee outside. This is a gem.

Paradise a hop away from Athens
I traveled to Athens for a conference and my husband wanted to come along since he is an OU alum. We originally planned to stay in town, but when we saw the pictures of this spot, we changed our minds. The reality of this listing is so much better than we could ever have imagined. Incredibly beautiful and quiet scenery, close to Athens, clean and comfortable accommodations, and a dog-friendly home with a paddock for our pup to play fetch in. The property has so many cool features and the stay is well worth it. Also, Greg was an excellent host in every way. We will absolutely be back in the future!
