It’s a cozy, basic and central hotel. My mum and I had in advance requested a quiet room, but got a room facing the noisy street. However, it was a big corner room on the 5th floor with a balcony:) I recommend bringing earplugs though. The beds were very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. Most of the staff were very friendly.
The breakfast deal with the cafe downstairs turned out not be a deal at all - as a hotel guest you choose from two different set menus which make you think that you get a special price. However, it turns out to be the regular price, the only discount is the coffee…
I forgot a huge box of cakes in the refrigerator. They were for a party and I had payed 500 NOK for them. When I contacted the hotel, they had thrown them away. Whereas I understand that they throw away a sandwich, they should call guests who forget huge boxes of cakes, like in this case.
There were no glasses or cups in the room. You have to collect it yourself near the reception, something which was a bit annoying. I missed tea bags, but appreciated the coffee machine.
All in all, my mum and I had a pleasant stay and would love to return - to the same lovely balcony room.
